Time passed quick when they were together, Wei in his thoughts as Eua slept. The man must have been really tired, sleeping soundly after the initial restlessness. The carry on suitcase and trench coat Wei spotted in the backseat was too warm for current Thai climate, indicating a long travel, probably jetlag as the man abandoned his own vehicle without a second thought to chase after Wei.

He looked peaceful and innocent, spread across the bed, with a palm under a soft cheek, buttons loose on that long sleeve starched shirt and Wei yearned for this daily since the last time he met Eua. Even as he told himself this was probably over when Eua went silent on him previously, his father's warning gritting on Wei's nerves and despite it all, an inner child continued to crave the attention on lonely nights,  the love once bestowed upon him, too afraid to tell this man 'Don't go".

 "don't leave him behind '

Not again.

Please...

It was totally self-centered and at such times, he cursed his luck. Of all people he could have fallen in love with, he had to go for the most eligible bachelor, successful businessman, a witty character who had intrigued him to look deeper, to tear open that dress shirt clad canvas and seek what was within, finding a young man who blushed when Wei stepped up close to him, whose eyes followed his lips, as if Wei was stunning, fingers tracing his features as they lay next to one another. When Eua was with him, he showed a vulnerable side, seeking Wei's opinion for food and purchases, trying an exotic drink and getting shit-faced drunk, trusting Wei to take him safely home. When morning comes, Eua is usually back to the business personality, giving orders and signing cheques as if he wasn't lying on Wei's lap counting stars the night before.

" What time is it?" tears him from his daydream, a rough looking sleepyhead sits up, still finding his bearings.

" It's almost 10pm. We should go get some dinner" Wei suggests and stands, going to the toilet to splash some cool water on his face, carefully skirting around the bed, not trusting himself to fall into it because, my god!

 Eua looked so cute!

His man had missed haircuts, longer strands tousled and messy, flat on the end resting on the pillow while is other fluffed up, falling into his eyes. Wei's fingers itched to brush them away, to stare into soft, sleep laden eyes and kiss those eyelashes close with his lips. The struggle to keep his hands away from Eua grew exponentially as they sat at a humble noodle shop, a small table for two, knees brushing as both somewhat stared and avoided each others gaze.

Whatever confidence Eua gathered coming all the way here, a renewed energy once he touched down at the airport this morning, seemed to have fleeted away with his sleep, observing Wei quiet and distant, small talk absent during the short ride.

" I'll drop you at the shop on the way back. That way you can get your luggage and check into a hotel. No need to ride back at night" took away Eua's appetite as his spoon lowered down gently, avoiding Wei's eyes.

" Are you chasing me?" Eua questions timidly, shoulder hunched in as much as his large frame allowed him, protecting himself and bracing his heart for the answer. He watches with lidded eyes as  Wei swallows thickly, chopsticks tight, taking his time as Eua's ticked away painfully.

" You should rest well. It's a long trip tomorrow for you" Wei says and all Eua could focus on is 'you', not 'we' as he hoped.

" but I apologized Wei."

" Why are you punishing me still?" Eua begs, unashamed.

He couldn't understand.

He did everything right, didn't he?
