TWO MONTHS PASSED IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. Two months since Klaus left Mystic Falls, two months since Blair finally awakened her true powers, two months since Stefan left town alongside Klaus, and two months since that kiss with Damon.

It turned out that Stefan had become Klaus's servant, leaving with him to save the lives of Elena, Damon, and Blair.

And he succeeded. Damon drank Klaus's blood, curing him of the werewolf bite that would have killed him. Damon survived, Klaus still has no idea that Elena is alive, and as for Blair—she is not scared anymore. She is now the one Klaus needs to be scared of.

Blair was sprawled out on her couch, flipping through a book she wasn't really reading, when her phone buzzed beside her. She glanced at the screen. Caroline Forbes.

She hesitated before answering. The last time Caroline called out of nowhere, it was to drag her into some elaborate plan.

With a sigh, she picked up. "Hey Care."

"Hey, so you're coming to Elena's birthday party tonight, right?" Caroline's voice was bright and expectant, like she had already decided Blair would say yes.

Blair sat up, frowning. "Care, I told Elena, and now I'm telling you, I don't know if I'll make it."

"Oh, come on! It's Elena's birthday, Salvatore mansion, big celebration, blah blah blah. Elena's not just anyone."

Blair stiffened. Salvatore mansion. Damon.

She hadn't seen him in two months. Two months since that night, when she thought she was going to lose him forever, they kissed. And for a moment, Blair thought it meant something.

But after that night, Damon Salvatore disappeared from her life. He didn't die—he just chose to ignore her. And Blair, stubborn as she was, tried. She reached out more times than she cared to admit, but it was like he had erased her from his world. So, after weeks of silence, she stopped trying.

And now, two months later, she was over it. Or at least, she told herself she was.

Because the truth was, every now and then, she'd catch herself expecting to see him showing up on her door or calling her, hoping for some kind of explanation. But it never came.

Still, despite everything, she wouldn't allow herself to chase after him anymore, and she had finally let go of the idea that she needed Damon Salvatore to feel whole.

"Caroline, I'm sure I'm not coming now." she trailed off, running a hand through her hair.

Caroline groaned dramatically. "Oh, no. No, no, no. Don't even think about skipping out just because of Damon."
