One thing to know about me is, I hate being woke up. Doesn't matter what time it is or what way you choose to do so, I hate it. I especially hate the way my brother decides to wake me up.
I was peacefully sleeping when my brother decided to shout as loud as he could in my ear.
"Em! Wake up!"
I flinched and quickly sat up. "Why the hell did you shout in my ear! You couldn't have woke me up in any other way?" I reached behind me and grabbed a pillow, chucking it at Drew. He let out a laugh as it barely hit him in the face.
"You're normally a bear to wake up and I wasn't dealing with it. It was the fastest way to get you up."
"You're exaggerating." I rolled my eyes.
"Get ready, school starts at 8:00," He laughed a little more and then left my room. I sighed as I noticed that he did not close the door behind him. He is on my hit list for the day. First waking me up and now leaving my door open. He'll have to pay later for his crimes.
I checked the time on my phone. It was only six and for me that was too early. Considering, we live five minutes away from the school by car. My morning routine isn't too long so I'll probably have sometime to prepare myself for my first day.
It was officially Monday which meant it was my fourth day in Cali and my first day at Avington. I hadn't thought much about what the first day would be like. I'll probably end up lost a couple times, sit alone at lunch-if the boys don't have lunch at the same time- , and end up with homework. I wanted to get the day over with as fast as possible.
"You better take the shower before I do," Drew screeched from down the hall.I quickly got up and grabbed the school uniform and rushed to the bathroom. Thankfully Drew was not in there. That boy always uses up all the hot water.
It didn't take me long to shower and get ready. I studied myself in the mirror. I don't mind the skirt but the button shirt and tie aren't really flattering. Once I was fully dressed I did my make up and blow dried my hair.
I headed into the kitchen after I was done to find something to eat. I decided on a cut up apple and peanut butter. I checked the time on my phone and noticed that I had about fifteen minutes before school started.
"Do you want to drive today," Marco asked as he entered the kitchen. He dangled his keys in front of my face and I latched onto them. I wasn't going to pass driving his mustang. I'd have to get my hands on Drew's truck later and hopefully my own car at some point.
My time in the mustang was short but it was worth it. Marco sat in the passenger side while Drew was in the back. I was surprised Drew didn't take his own vehicle but then again there's no need to take two when we all live together and so close to the school.
Walking into the school was intimidating at first. I might have turned around and left if it wasn't for the two boys at my sides. The hallways were long and there were so many of them.
"Drew, you can head to class," Marco grabbed ahold of my hand. "I'll take Emmie to the office."
"You're going to be late to class," I uttered and tried to pull my hand away to stop him. "I'm sure I can find the office on my own."
Marco shook his head. "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I let my girlfriend walk around without knowing where to go? You'd look like a fool without my help, babe."
A fool? I'd look like fool walking by myself?
We continued walking towards what I hoped would be the office. There were students in the hall even though class started. I noticed the stares and whispers as we walked. I didn't like having attention on me and this was too much. I was uncomfortable. I hoped my face didn't show my discomfort. However, I could tell Marco liked this a lot. He had a huge smile plastered on his face. He walked with a certain sway to his step. He seemed to be very proud and I found it annoying.
