"Well," I look around the room. "I'd say I did a pretty good job." I pat myself on the shoulder as I look at what I have set up for tonight. My desk held four different types of chips and mixed sweets. I had drink choices as well. I set up my playstation and had Netflix ready to go. My bed was covered in extra pillows and blankets. Tonight should be relaxing.
I was blowing up an air mattress when I herd a knock at the door. "Come in," I shout not turning away from the mattress. There was no way I was going to let something distract me and have me accidentally let air out.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and instantly I know its Marco. What was he doing in here? I haven't talked to him in a few days because of the whole loser thing.
"Babe,"He drags out the pet name. I just ignore him and continue to set up. Maybe if I just ignored him, he'd take the hint and go away.
"Baby, please talk to me." He whines. Once again I ignore him. I'm not letting him get away with this so easy. He can't insult my friends and think I wont be mad at him.
"Em, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to judge your friend. Please forgive me." He wraps his arms around me really tight.
"Fine," I growl and wiggle in his arms. I just wanted him to let go of me. Wow, I gave up easy after I just said I wasn't going to. God Emmie, you're stronger than that.
He places a soft kiss to my cheek before letting me go. "Thanks babe! I can't stand it when my baby is mad at me. It just doesn't feel right."
"When did I say that I actually forgave you," I smirk. "I'll I did was say fine. You have to make it up to me."
"And how do I do that," he crosses his arms over his chest. "Perhaps with a kiss?" He grins and leans forward.
"Hm, perhaps not. You can help by going downstairs to grab the face masks and the rest of the snacks I bought. They are in the kitchen."
He lets out an annoyed groan at my request but goes to do what I asked.
Jocelyn came over around eight. Right away we through on the face masks. While we waited for them to dry, we went through her Instagram page. When I said she was obsessed, I wasn't kidding.
"Oh,I like that picture." I stop her scrolling when we came across a picture of Aaron kissing her cheek. They must be really close.
"Me too," She smile and a blush covers her face.
"You like Aaron don't you," I giggle. Her eyes widen and she fratically shakes her head. Oh, I hit a nerve didn't I?
"What, of course not," She hides her face in her hands. "Ugh, yes I do. I can't lie."
"You're right. Your face tells the truth for you."
She mumbles a few words that I couldn't quite catch. She stands up and reaches out a hand. "Come on, we need to go wash these face masks off."
I try to continue our conversation on the way to the bathroom. "I think you should go for it. Aaron is a nice guy from what I've seen. You must have known him for a long time right? I'm sure he'd be into it."
She shakes her head. "You don't know how much I can't do that. The boy is clueless and he's never really shown interest in me. Besides flirting with me, he just hasn't given me a reason to believe he likes me back."
"You'll never know unless you ask him."
"Easier said then done."
"How long have you and Marco been together," She asks before dunking her head down so she can wash her face in the sink. I cringe as the charcoal face mask turns the white sink grey.
