[In the Point Of View {POV} of the Wolf.]

The sky crackled with lightning, it was darker than ever before at the time. Little food, no life to go on to. For some reason though, I stayed. I could of left with the rest of my pack, farther grounds, more living things to catch, but that wasn't my purpose. Besides, we were to big, all five of us in one place-heh, we'd eat out the woods just like we did here.

I searched the woods, looking for anything to eat, even getting close to the hunter's pathway, but my luck wasn't getting any better than a squirrel here and there. If I'm lucky, I'll actually catch it. Before I even knew it, I froze as I saw that thing before me. It was tiny, mine as well be a pup.

The child gasped, staring at me with fear in those blue night sky eyes, and she shook to the bone. Of all things in this world, I've never seen something look so gracious. She was fragile, alpha could only know why they let something so small go out in this rain.

I was drawn to her though. Those eyes weren't normal, the villagers only had dark murky eyes, her's...they were dark and light at the same time. Her lips, they were like the roses that used to bloom. They came into a lumpy heart, and I could hear her panting, her heart pounding ferociously.

"You hung-wee wolf?" Her voice was high pitched, she moved the plastic from the basket she held in her hands, and pulled out a piece of bread. I didn't even realize how close I was to her until then, and I opened my mouth wide. She placed the insignificant loaf of bread in my mouth, and stepped back. "Good wolf." All she said.

I rumbled in thanks, and she giggled slightly. "No t-anks need, I help fun!" I stared at the little girl then, watched her closely. She couldn't had known what I said, right? I growled out in confusion, and the girl smiled. "Madiline, I is Madiline, but Gona call me Brat!" She laughed for nothing, poor thing didn't even know an insult.

I huffed, turning around and the girl stared at me in shock. "You want eat me?"

I looked back at her still walking away, and barked with her jumping. "Got it!" With that said, she turned running back where she came from, and never looked back.
