[Poloagma's POV]
I growled as I walked threw the town three times, before I manage to find a vague scent of Madiline. I followed it out of town, and honestly I was fearful that she had tried to run. But, as I saw her body laying on the ground, I sighed.
"Come Rabbit, we must prepare." I told her, but her eyes opened then closed again. "My wife, come."
Her eyes shot open again and anger filled in them, though she said nothing and sat up. She bit on to her bottom lip as I moved closer to her, and her body trembled.
"Madiline...what's-what's wrong?" Nothing was going as planned, she was supposed to be happy about our engagement. She said, "Okay." Then it hit me...she said just and only, "Okay," not, "Yes! I would love to! Yes!" No, just a simple forced answer.
Anger rolled into my body as I growled, "You don't want to marry me?" It was full of temptation to insult me further more. Though, she did. She wasn't like anyone else.
"I don't," she sat on her knees then, as if to look smaller to me. She kept her head bowed, and her hood wrapped around her.
"Why?" Her body shivered more with that question, and kept her mouth closed. "I asked you a question." I talked very slow, as if trying to restrain my anger towards her.
"I-I-" tears started to run down her precious face, and she looked up at me. "I don't want to be chained to you for the rest of my life. I don't love you like that! I don't want to be with you Sire!"
I stared at her in fury, and she huddled in a ball. I knew she had never been so scared in her life, but I didn't care. "We are to be married at once. Tomorrow at sunrise, you will be my bride. And I won't even ask about Hideous."
I turned walking away, and heard her sobs, even as I was in town. I listened the entire time, and waited for her to move from that spot, but she never did. She stayed there crying as if she had just lost a loved one, and nothing else awaited for her.
What about me though? What about what I want? What about what I need? For God's sake I was a man that never had relations with a woman. I was thirty years old, and didn't have not one child while I should of had five. I was poor, jobless, and was going to get married to a woman who didn't even love me.
Did no one consider my feelings towards the entire reunion? I wanted her to love me as she had in the dream. I wanted to kiss her, hold her, love her as before. So I went back to her. I went back, laid against a tree and could hear her calm down slowly. Once she had finished, we were just quiet.
"Madiline, why did you pick "Sire" that night?" And as if it was déjà vu, she told me about the song. She sang it to me softly, but there wasn't as much heart to it as before.
"Well...do you still want to kill me?" The silence between us told me more than enough, and I sighed. "Let's change our names th-"
"Why Rabbit? Why did you all of the sudden call me Rabbit?" She snapped at me, and I didn't bother to get mad at her this time. It was only fair she asked her question too.
"There's a song a came up with. Well two, but in one of them I am singing to Rabbit." And I sing her my song.
"What's the other one?"
"What?"
"You said you came up with two songs, what's the other one?" She was pressing, but I said nothing back.
"Hey there Little Red Riding Hood, you sure are looking good, your everything a big bad wolf could want. Little Red Riding Hood, I don't think little big girls should go walking in these spooky old woods alone. What big eyes you have! The kind of eyes that drives wolves mad! Just to see that you don't get chased I-think I outta walk with you for a ways! What full lips you have, sure to lure someone bad, so until you make it to grandma's place I think you, outta walk with me and be safe. Gonna keep my sheep suit on, until I'm sure that you've been shown, that I can be trusted-walking with you alone. Little Red Riding Hood, I'd like to hold you if I could, but you might think I'm a big bad wolf so I won't. What a big heart I have! The better to love you with! Little Red Riding Hood, even bad wolves can be good! I'll try to be satisfied, just walking close by your side. Maybe you'll see things my way before we get to grandma's place! Little Red Riding Hood-you sure are looking good. Your everything a big bad wolf could want..." I looked down finished.
[Little Red Riding Hood by Amanda Seyfried]Madiline didn't say anything, didn't speak for quite a while actually, then finally said, "Is it true I'm the real Little Red Riding Hood?"
I looked at her for a while then spoke, "Yes, you are but...but it's not how the story goes. I-I wasn't the wolf who was with you. I wasn't even after you until your mother put me in your care. I've seen you before, but I didn't have the slightest interest in meeting you, that is-until I found out you were Lara's daughter. I honestly don't know why that put significance on you , but it did. I watched you day and night. While you put the bread in my basket, then went on with your day. You were mine, that's what I believed, that's the deal your mother and I made. Your protection through out your life, as long as you were mine. Mine as in, you couldn't have anyone else, and they couldn't have you. That-that right there, is the deal I made with your mom."
Madeline stared at me for quite the while, then swallowed. "You? Only you? Your supposed to be my love no matter what? You? I rather be a widow or die!" Her voice was filled with rage and hatred. She shook to the core, and stepped away. "I will never love a cruel mine like you."
"Yes my rabbit, but you forget that you're still mine."
"I've never been yours, and I never will be. You can chain me up like an animal, but I'll never let you have me. Never!"
I honestly don't know why that of all things provoked me, I knew she wouldn't ever let me have her...but the way she said it....It was like a challenge. I grinned at her deviously, and her eyes widen with the anger turning to fear. I walked closer to her as she continued taking steps back until her back was against the wall, and my claws laid on the sides of her. Our faces were inches away, and I laughed at her terror.
"Don't do it." She muttered.
"What? I didn't hear you." I said coyly.
"Don't do it. I know what you want to do, don't do it." She shook to the bone, which only thrilled me more.
"But I thought I couldn't have you even if I wanted to? I thought you said you would never give yourself up to me? I thought-"
I was cut off by Madiline screaming with tears pouring from her eyes, "I KNOW WHAT I SAID BUT YOU ARE STRONGER THAN ME! WHAT I SAY DOESN'T MATTER! YOU CAN GET ME WITH JUST ONE HAND! YOUR IMMORTAL! JUST DONT DO IT! PLEASE! DONT DO IT!" She bawled with her words, desperately trying to get out of my cell of limbs.
"I won't have you Rabbit," I said as I brushed a glob of hair from her eyes, and felt her start to breathe calmer. "Not until you're my wife."
