Someone poked my shoulder, "You need to get up." She poked a little harder, "They're coming. You need to stand up."
My eyes flickered open, "What?"
Kass was knelt down beside me, "Get up." She stood quickly and leaned against the wall, away from the entrance of the cell.
"Why?"
"They're coming."
Standing, I stood beside her, "Who?"
"William and his friends, I think."
"What do they want?"
She looked at me, "You know..."
My stomach flipped with nausea, "This is so messed up."
"Yep."
One of the other younger girls held my hand. Taking a deep breath, I calmed the wolves inside them all - gave them the confidence they needed to stay relaxed and feel comfort. I watched as they all took in a breath of relief. A man I hadn't seen yet strolled down the stairs. He was a hybrid with thick muscles and the stench of death all over him. He smirked as he looked over the females.
"William has quite the collection."
Snarling, I took a step forward, "Who are you?"
He smirked as he looked me over, "I'm Peter. You must be the one making all the fuss around here."
"Leave them alone."
He smirked and took a step forward, "Maybe I'll just have you."
"Stay away."
His smile grew more smug, "And who's going to stop me? Last I heard, your mate is being led astray by my good friend Mark."
Well at least I knew they were clueless to what was going on. Playing along, I snarled and shook as if I were close to phasing, "I can take care of myself."
"You are nothing, I will do as I wish."
"What do you want?"
"William requests your presence."
I scoffed, "So he sent his puppy to get me."
He hissed in anger, "No. I offered. I wanted the chance to ruin Josh's mate."
"How do you know Josh?"
"He was once William's puppy - did his bidding. Keeping me happy was one of his many tasks."
My wolf growled in my thought, "I will kill you."
He chuckled, "Please try, I like it when my girls fight."
He moved to take a step forward but Goddess took a hold on me and together we stopped him mid step. "No. You will do as I say."
He snarled, "What the fuck!"
I laughed without humor, "Oh no!" There was false, sarcastic worry in my tone, "Is something wrong?"
"What the hell are you doing?"
Moving to the silver bars I gripped them and easily bent the medal and walked through, "I'm getting revenge. Maya will learn she can't hurt what is mine."
He fought my hold, "What?"
Ignoring him, I turned to the three younger girls who were in the cell with me, "Can you find your way out?"
They all nodded with wide eyes. Kass spoke up, "Yes, but the others?"
"Find the keys and help them, I need to finish this. Josh will be here to help you soon."
She nodded as she helped the girls slip through the bent bars without touching the silver.
Peter growled and fought against me, "How are you doing this?"
My vision went white with the power of Goddess, "Your wolf is mine, I will do as I wish."
He chuckled, "I'm only half wolf, I can get out of this."
"Everyone is only half wolf smart ass, now stay silent."
His jaw clenched as he struggled to speak but couldn't.
Looking to the stairs, I headed up them, "Come."
Reluctantly he followed behind me. I made it look as if he were taking me to William in full control. Taking a deep breath, I followed the stench of death to a massive living room with Peter right behind me. I could smell Maya, she was with the group. There were two vampires, six hybrids, and two wolves. This would be harder than I thought.
Pulling open the door, I kept my head down and played the act of being weak and unable to defend myself. It had been working for me so far.
William smiled, "Welcome Josie." He looked me up and down before pulling off his shirt, "Put this on."
Taking the shirt I was grateful for the opportunity to cover myself. Easily, I slipped into the massive shirt, it fell about mid thigh and covered the important things. My eyes found William, "Why am I here?"
He smirked but then frowned, "Your eyes have changed again."
"Why am I here?"
"Don't take that tone with me. You will show respect."
My jaw tightened, "How about I show you why you are afraid of me."
He laughed, "I'm intrigued. You sure do have confidence for such a tiny thing."
Growling, I stepped forward, "Sit."
Every wolf in the room sat down wherever they stood. William gasped and looked around, "What are you?"
"I am Luna."
"They said it was just a myth."
"They also say werewolves and vampires are just a myth."
He smirked, "But you can't touch me, I'm not a wolf."
My smile brightened, "I don't want to touch you." Looking at the hybrids and man who stood beside Maya, I pointed to the two vampires, "Kill them."
Reluctantly they turned and headed for the men. I smiled and turned my attention to Maya. I was feeling weak but I could do this, I needed to do this. "Are you ready Maya?"
Her jaw clenched, "For what?"
"To lose your wolf. You don't deserve her."
Maya growled, "You can't do that."
"Let's test it and find out."
She struggled with my hold on her. "Fight me for real, try and beat me! Come on, I know you want to."
Before I could respond, a vision took over my sight.
