It was nine. I wasn't ready. I had a gut feeling that something would go wrong and I would find out more about that night than I had hoped. Maybe I should have picked an earlier time where it wasn't so dark, would have not only made me but everyone else feel better.

I slowly walked to the door of the living room to hear muffled voices, It was Dan, Ben and Wayne. I casually opened the door so it didn't look like I had been standing outside it for two minutes thinking through everything. Was I the only one who felt unsettled by all this?

As soon as I walked in, all eyes were casted on me. I nervously laughed and took a seat down next to Dan who looked surprised to see me. Maybe he thought I would 'forget' or something. Trust me, I wouldn't..

"Aja will be here in a few minutes. She's just putting Arrow and River to bed." Said Dan reassuring everyone.

Alexandra was out of town visiting her parents so it was up to Wayne to look after River since it would have been too much of a fuss to bring him with her in the car journey. Luckily when we were camping, she decided to stay at home with River since she wasn't very into the idea of camping...

The door then opened and out came Aja. She closed the door quietly and made a seat next to me. You could tell everyone wasn't into this idea but felt obliged to.

"Okay so who wants to go first then?" Asked Dan looking around the room as he said those words. No one said anything, Ben just scratched his head hoping to not be chosen.

"Ben it is then!"

"Wait what? All I did was scratch my head!" he refused whilst going all red.

"Oh well, too bad."

Everyone turned to Ben as he moved to get comfortable.

"Well not that much happened besides I kept seeing weird silhouettes through the tent after um Daniel had that weird nightmare. Not only that but I also saw Dan run out of the tent and Daniel go after him yelling, I stood up to look around. It was as if you both disappeared, that is until I went back into the tent. You were all there still, I thought I was going mad." Said Ben trying to get out the last few words.

You could tell by this point everyone was not settled and didn't want to hear more, but we had no choice by this point. It was Dan's turn to go next.

"Wow um, how do I start this uh." Said Dan, his voice sounding wobbly. "I didn't remember much, only part I remembered mainly was waking up at the side of the river about to jump in until I stopped myself just in time. There was a current and it looked pretty deep so if I actually did jump in, I probably wouldn't be telling this story right now. Who knows what could of happened to me at this point. Not only that but I kept hearing voices telling me to-. Telling me to-." Dan choked his words. "Telling me to get out and protect my loved ones"

Everyone's faces dropped, Especially mine.

"Dan.." He turned to look at me.

"What?" He replied, water filling his eyes.

"The voices told me to protect my love ones. From you."

At this point Dan got straight up and went outside. Smashing anything in his way to the ground. You may think he was over reacting, but I don't think he was. The atmosphere in the room made you feel uncomfortable, as if you were being watched. It wasn't a great feeling. None of this was. The only thing that broke the silence was the distant sobs of Dan, whatever happened to him, and whatever he saw or heard, must have really messed with him.

"Maybe I should go now then." Suggested Wayne as he started to carry on the words.

"What I saw linked to what Dan did, but he didn't notice me. I was the one who was about to push him off but as he turned around, I wasn't there. I told him to protect his loved ones from himself, he obviously didn't hear the end part. I didn't even want to tell him that, something just made me and I couldn't stop it. Anyway I'm pretty sure all this was just an intense nightmare, but boy was it realistic.." Just as Wayne finished the last sentence, Aja went out and told her side of the story.

"Nothing really happened to me besides the fact I woke up to what I thought was Arrow crying, but when I looked at her, she was fast asleep. Everyone was."

Ben and Wayne both exchanged eye contact with me and each other. Until suddenly a faint strained crying sound broke the eerie silence.

"What's that noise?" I asked whilst looking at the ceiling. "It sounds like-" The noise then began to grow more loud and violent.

Immediately everyone rushed up the stairs to where Arrow and River were supposedly sleeping. Aja tried to open the door but it suddenly became locked. Ben and Wayne took over from Aja and started banging on the door. I turned around to see that Dan was there, open mouthed.

"What's going on?" Shouted Dan trying to get everyone's attention, he did  a good job.

"I don't know, Aja was telling her side of the story about Arrow and River and then we heard them crying upstairs!" I blurted out hoping Dan would be able to do something. They were still crying. It wasn't exactly a pleasant sound.

Dan pushed me aside and used all his force to smash open the door. The door then fell out of it's hinges and fell to the ground. The crying stopped. Arrow and River were fast asleep.

"What the fuck?" Swore Ben, he voiced everyone's exact reactions. Yet again, I was confused. 2 months of nothing and now as soon as we discuss the event something happens. At that point I just went into my bedroom and locked myself in. Maybe not the best idea but there was no way I was telling anyone my side of the story even if my life depended on it.
