Mine and Aja's eyes made contact. My brain stopped, that wasn't Aja's eye colour. Her's was brown, the creature's was red.

I suddenly felt two hands grab my arms tightly, I couldn't move. That's when I heard someone's breathe on my shoulder. It was a human's presence, but at the same time it couldn't have been. A mix between.

"Try killing him with your bare hands now." Said Aja gripping tighter as the words came spilling out. She must have been behind me the whole time. Which left me to the question, who the hell was that in front of Dan? Well now in front of me.

I tried to break free, but whatever creature that was, it was coming straight for me. I closed my eyes tightly and waited for what I thought would be death. But instead was just silence.

I slowly re opened my eyes when I thought it was safe. To see that I was still in the same disgusting room, but I noticed the creature was just standing there staring at me. It laughed. The firm grip from Aja's hands left my body. I collapsed to the ground, unable to move. Dan looked like he couldn't move either.

I then saw the feet of Aja pass me, a needle dropped to the ground, most likely purposely. It was empty but I assume that's why I can't move. She injected me with it, Dan as well. The only parts of my body I discovered I could still control were only my facial features. At least I could still speak.

"So, aren't you going to ask me anything? Im sure you're dying to know, I can hear your mind screaming the questions right now." She said whilst circling me.

"What do you want from me." I asked, helplessly.

"Well, might as well tell you since after all this you deserve to know. And the fact you won't be alive to tell anyone else when I'm done with you."

She picked me up by the collar of my shirt and threw me onto an old wooden chair. She then grabbed what appeared to be straps that were fixed onto the chair arms, she tied them tightly around my hands cutting the blood flow. This was beginning to get more and more like a horror movie by the minute. I actually started to feel scared.

"We feed off the souls of humans. We have been doing this for years, generations before you were born. It's how we live, just like you eat and drink to survive. Is that enough? Should be."

I assume that was what the long tentacles were for, feeding off us. How did none of this ever make the news? Has anyone actually ever made it alive from this place to actually tell their story? Hopefully I would.

"How did you even find us?" Dan asked, interrupting the sudden silence of me thinking through everything she had just spoke.

"The camp. We were out there lost, trying to find the nearest town full of our newest victims. You came in the way though. We got in your heads to make you all think you were going crazy, usually cuts the trips short. That's when we followed you home and all this happened. Of course we didn't make it as clear as it was until two months later, that would just give too much away. Which is why when the moment Dan brought the whole situation up properly again,we decided to make a scene."Aja responded. As she said all this, she was in the corner of the room now, whilst sharpening a long knife with a claw that suddenly emerged from her fingertip replacing the nail.

"Any last words?" Laughed the creature eyeing both me and Dan.

"More like we should be asking you that question you pieces of shit! Where are the others? Tell us assholes!" Yelled Dan looking especially at Aja. He finally realised she wasn't who he thought she was, his wife.

"Calm down, relax. It won't hurt that much, despite all the screaming it looks painless."

"Where. Are. They." At this point he was getting more stern, we wouldn't get back alive and we both knew it. Maybe we could stall until these injections wear off. Doubt it.

"They're in a safe place. Don't worry, we took good care of them." She said whilst putting her one clawed finger on Dan's lips. His eyes filling up with tears as all the thoughts of what could have happened to them rushed through his head. His weeps of pain somehow came out muffled.

"You sick bastards! The fuck did you do to them?" I screamed trying to get out of the chair hoping it would budge. It didn't. Aja made her way over to me, I noticed something in her hands. The knife she was sharpening earlier. No, no, it wouldn't end like this. It couldn't have. It wont. I tried moving all I could, but again, it wouldn't budge. I wasn't going to die this way, I just wasn't.

Same as what she had done to Dan, she placed her finger on my mouth as if to stop me from making any noise. It worked. I found myself unable to speak or even move my eyes. They were just fixed at the same position they were in before, facing her. I felt the presence of her knife slowly moving towards my chest, just about to press into the skin, until it stopped?

Her eyes suddenly went a dark red, blood pouring out as well as her mouth when she opened it. She let out the most ear piercing scream I had ever heard. When the noise stopped, I was then able to move my eyes, not only that but move my whole body? That's when I noticed what she was screaming about, a long knife, similar to the one she was just holding, was impaled into her chest. A dark red liquid seeping out as she fell to the floor. When collapsed, a familiar face was stood facing me. A good familiar face.
