It was only moments after being in tight grasp of Aja that Dan fainted. We don't know why and how, but it all just happened so fast. Which is why we find ourselves at the hospital. I was sat next to Ben who was twice as worried as I was, judging from the look on his face. Even though he saw the same as I did, something told me that he saw much more.

We then saw a nurse walk out of the room Dan was in, Wayne and I got up to ask when we could see him and if he was okay.

"I'm sorry I don't know, we're trying the hardest we can." Replied the nurse nervously, it was as if she was desperate to be somewhere. You could tell Wayne had had enough at this point. Just before the lady was going to turn around and go, he once again stopped her.

"Listen not to be rude but. How the hell can you be trying the hardest you can when there's no one in the room in the first place? You're the second person who has actually set foot in there and you're the second person to tell me that exact same sentence. So don't you dare say you're trying your best when you're not even doing anything." You could clearly tell he was trying to be rude.

"I am truly sorry sir but-"

"NO YOU'RE NOT!" Yelled Wayne.

"My best friend is in that room and you're not doing anything to save him. I don't know what the fuck your idea of trying is but it's not helping him in any way shape or form. He could be dying for all I know. JUST DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING!" At this point Wayne was slowly falling to the floor crying. I patted him on the back and whispered for us to get back to our seats since we were causing a scene. Ben also came and we both started to take Wayne back to the seats. He seemed to be acting up the most out of all of us.

"Wait where's Aja?" I asked Ben.

"She went to her parent's house to see if they could look after Arrow and River until Dan get's out of hospital. God knows when that will be.."

"Oh, when will she be back?"

"I don't know, maybe in 20 minutes." Ben replied whilst looking at the clock. It was already 12, dinner, and those pancakes barely filled me up to be honest. Which is a shame because they were actually pretty nice.

"Why don't we go grab something to eat at a cafe and try to figure things out. I think Wayne needs it." As I said that Wayne turned his head and looked up at me. His eyes blood shot from crying too much. I felt like crying to, but chose not to since for all we know, he could have just fainted. Hopefully he will be back home tonight.

Ben seemed to agree with the whole cafe idea and began to stand up. I got out my phone and texted Aja saying we will be at the Waterbrook cafe, I added that Dan is going to be okay for a bit of relief when really, I didn't know what was going on with him. As we were walking past the room Dan was in I took a glance through the glass and just saw Dan hopelessly lying there. He was still breathing which was good, but he didn't move. I felt the urge to cry but that wouldn't solve anything so I kept it in, for now.

When we got to Waterbrooks we found a table with four seats so Aja had somewhere. Ben went to get our usual whilst I was stuck with Wayne. It felt awkward when it shouldn't have. I decided to break the silence by telling Wayne everything will be okay and that Dan will be better by tonight.

"You don't know that." He mumbled.

"You're right, I don't. But I'm not going to sit here and constantly think he's going to die. He will be alright. He fainted that's all, it was probably from all the shock due to what happened before." I tried my best to make Wayne feel better, and I think it worked somehow. He slowly perked up and looked at me and smiled.

"Thanks."

Ben then came back with 3 cappuccinos and one black coffee, with the side of 2 biscuits, a slice of cheese cake and a chocolate muffin. We all sat there drinking our coffee and eating our biscuits with no conversation at all. My original idea was to discuss what had happened but that was probably not going to happen anytime soon. Around 5 minutes after Ben had came back, Aja walked through the door scanning the whole cafe for us. I stood up and yelled her name. She smiled and made her way over to our table and sat next to Ben. She grabbed her capuccino and muffin and began to tuck in.

"So how's Dan doing? You said on text that he was doing alright, will he be able to come home today?" Asked Aja whilst taking a huge bite out of her muffin.

Ben looked surprised when she mentioned I said Dan was okay, he knew I was trying to help but now im not so sure lying was the best idea.

"Well he's um. How to put this." Aja stopped eating as I stuttered out that sentence. She looked at me.

"What?" He's what?"

"He's seeking no medical help. The nurses said they had been trying everything but clearly haven't since there's only been two people in there, and have both went out within 5 minutes of being there. He's still breathing but you know, we don't have any clue of what is going on in that room." It hurt me to say all that since she was his wife, but we were all probably twice as upset as she was. She put her hands on her face and said,

"Oh God. If he dies-"

"He won't." I interrupted. "I promise."
