Chapter Seven

Tom woke up and cuddled into the person next to him.
"Morning," Rose said. Tom jumped. Part of him hoped it was Skyler - part of him thought it was Skyler. "Morning," he replied slowly.

Max was on his way to work and he collected the expensive dress he had designed for Mia. It cost him over one thousand pounds.

Mia sat at home feeding Evie when Skyler came in with Natalia "are you okay?" Mia looked up and shook her head "no, Kim is doing my head in, I woke up this morning and Evie was bathed, fed and dressed" Skyler sighed "talk to Chris, he'll talk to Kim" Mia scoffed "yeah right. Chris is all for doing what Kim wants. I swear since I came back, Chris is always doing everything Kim wants!" "Let's just head on to school," Skyler said. Mia nodded and tucked Evie in to her pram. Natalia grabbed her teddy and stood beside Skyler. Skyler grabbed her bag and grabbed Natalia's small bag.
"Let's go," Mia said. Mia and Skyler linked arms and walked to school instead of waiting for Chris and Kim.

Tom arrived at school and went straight to his classroom. He needed to see Skyler and soon. His feelings for her were returning and he needed to know if she felt the same.

Mia received a load of texts from Chris asking why she didn't wait for him and Kim. Mia text back saying she didn't want to be around them at the moment.

The girls arrived in school and took their daughters to the creche. Once Evie and Natalia were settled Mia left with Skyler.

Tom and Max were sitting in the morning staff meeting waiting for everyone to arrive. "I need to see Mia," Max said. Tom looked at him.
"I need to see Skyler," Tom told him. Max went to find them and as soon as he left the office he bumped into them.
"Can I help you Mr Tyler?" Mia asked. Skyler rolled her eyes and Max smirked.
"Follow me girls," Max said. The girls followed him to the office and when Skyler seen Tom she got butterflies

"I'm assuming there's a reason you asked us to follow you" Max looked at Tom who spoke "our kiss the other day. Did it mean anything to you?" Skyler didn't know what to say "I don't know if it did or didn't, I'm too confused". Tom sighed and Max looked at Mia

"I have something for you," Max said to Mia. Mia smiled and nodded. Max went behind the desk and got the dress out. He hung it up on the filing cabinet and Mia pulled the paper off the dress. She gasped when she seen it.
"I love it. Thank you Max," Mia said. They kissed. Mia noticed Skyler crying. "Are you okay?"
"I have to go," Skyler said. She walked out of the office and walked into a classroom. She cried as she sat on the floor under the windows.

Tom went to find Skyler leaving Mia and Max alone. Mia smiled at the dress.
"How much did it cost?" Mia asked.
"It doesn't matter," Max said.
"It does. Just tell me," Mia said. She played with Max's hands. He sighed.
"Over a thousand pounds," Max said

"Why did you spend that much?" Mia asked Max he kissed her.
"You're worth it," Max told her. Mia kissed him and cuddled into him.

Skyler sat crying on the floor when the door opened and Tom came in "what's wrong?"
Skyler wiped her eyes "nothing. I'm fine"
Tom sat down next to her "I know you're not. Talk to me" Skyler sighed and spoke "seeing Mia and Max together it reminds me of when we were together. I always thought we'd be together".
"I know, things don't always work the way we planned".

Chris was walking to the office as he needed to speak with Rachel. When he knocked the door he heard movement and a zip being done up. "Come"
Chris walked in and saw Mia "what? Again?"

"Leave me alone," Mia said and stormed out. She went to the crèche to see Evie before class.

Tom hugged Skyler. Suddenly Rose came in. She smiled at Skyler.
