Chapter Eleven

Tom had been taken to the Hospital but it wasn't looking good. The heart machine had started beeping...
~~ Now ~~

Jack had arrived at the hospital and he saw Mia and Max there "is Tom alright?" Jack asked
"He's in a coma. They say he will wake up really soon. Skyler is in the cafe," Mia said. Jack nodded and went to the cafe.

Skyler was sitting on her own. She wasn't even drinking or eating.
"Hey Beautiful," Jack said. Skyler didn't look up. She didn't even hear him "Are you alright?" Jack asked. Skyler shook her head but again she didn't say anything.

Jack say opposite Skyler and took her hand "Natalia is with Mia and Max," Jack told her. Skyler nodded again.

Mia was trying to get Natalia to eat but she didn't want to. Max was attempting to feed Evie but she kept pushing the bottle away.

"They know something is bad," Mia said. Max nodded.
"I'm taking Skyler out," Jack said. Mia and Max nodded.

Jack took Skyler back to his house. "Talk to me."
"I want to end it with you," Skyler said. Jack got angry
"Because of Tom?" Jack asked. The anger was evident in his face.
"I love him. He's my daughters dad and she needs us to be happy. I look at Mia and Max with Evie and I think I want that," Skyler said to Jack. Jack scoffed
"Does my life always get ruined by Tom bloody Clarkson?!".

Mia took Evie from Max and tried to feed her but it didn't work. She still refused the bottle. Mia put Evie in her carseat and got her to sleep and Natalia dozed off next to her "I hope Skyler is okay," Mia said. Suddenly, Max got a phone call from the hospital. He hung up and smiled widely at Mia.
"Tom's woke up. I'm going to turn back," Max said. Mia smiled widely and nodded.

Skyler was sitting at the park. She had a black eye. Jack got angry and accidentally punched her - he was aiming for the wall beside her. Skyler didn't want to be here anymore - not if Tom wasn't.

Mia and Max were driving to the hospital and Natalia had woken "I want my mummy please," Natalia said in a tiny voice. Mia turned to look at her.
"I know munchkin. You'll see her soon," Mia told the little girl. Evie was still asleep.

Skyler ignored her phone ringing. She didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment. Crying to herself she looked at the photos she had on her phone, the one of Tom where he had a cheeky grin made her eyes pour out with tears.

Mia and Max were back at the hospital. Natalia looked scared to be there as she didn't know what was happening "where mummy?" She asked again. Mia took her into her arms.
"She's gone somewhere, she'll be back soon," Mia said. Natalia looked at Max
"I want my mummy and my daddy and Evie"

Max sighed and went in. Tom was in his wheelchair. Max smiled at him.
"Want to see Skyler?" Max asked. Tom nodded. They put him in the car and drove to the park where Jack told Max she was. "Can you tell me all that happened?" Tom asked Mia. Mia sighed but nodded
"She's blaming herself for what you did. She thinks its her fault," Mia said. Tom felt his eyes water.
"Where is she?" Tom asked. Mia shrugged.
"I don't know Tom. She's not answering my calls".

Skyler stood by the river and she cried. Tom was everything to her and he never knew how she felt.

Skyler sent him a text message before deciding to jump.

Max was driving past the park just as Tom got a text. He screamed.
"What's wrong?" Mia asked.
"Get to the park! Skyler is trying to kill herself because of me!" Tom said. Max turned the car as fast as possible and parked the car outside the park. He got Tom out of the car and into his wheelchair. Mia got the kids out before running to the river. Max got there first and grabbed Skyler before she jumped. Skyler screamed at Max as he held her down.
"I want to go!" Skyler yelled.
"Don't be stupid! Think of your daughter," Max said. Skyler ignored him and she struggled against him.
"Skyler! Stop," Mia pleaded. Skyler turned to see Mia standing with Natalia who looked scared.
"Mummy? Why are you going swimming like daddy?" Natalia asked. Skyler didn't know what to say.

Max let go of Skyler and walked over to Mia Natalia walked over to Skyler and she held Natalia tightly. Skyler cried into Natalia before pushing her away.
"We will always remember Daddy as a smiling and happy man. He was amazing baby. I just hope he knows I love him," Skyler said. Natalia wiped away her tears and Skyler winced when Natalia touched her black eye.
"He does know," Tom said from his wheelchair.
Skyler looked to see Tom "yo-you're okay?" Skyler asked. She was shocked to see him standing there.
"Of course I am. Its your love that got me through," Tom said. Skyler was crying.
"I love you Tom. Don't ever leave me again," Skyler said through her tears.

Max had suggested that Skyler, Tom and Natalia stayed over at his so they could have some help with Tom. Skyler agreed.

Arriving back at the house Max took Evie to bed and Mia followed "you were amazing today, thanks," Mia said. Max walked over to her and pushed her onto the bed. Mia unfastened his belt.
Tom and Skyler put Natalia to bed and tucked her in before going downstairs. They heard Mia and Max having sex, so they closed the door of the living room.
"I'm sorry," Skyler said. Tom held her close and he noticed her black eye finally.
"How did you get that?" Tom asked her
"Jack, he accidentally hit me. He was aiming for the wall but I got in the way," Skyler told him. Tom felt his anger rise.
"Why did he get angry?" Tom asked. Skyler sighed and spoke
"I ended things with him because of you. I can't stop the way I feel Tom," Skyler said. Tom moved closer to her and kissed her.

Mia and Max were still doing it when Evie started crying. Max got off Mia and left the bedroom just as Skyler came up the stairs.

Mia saw Skyler's eye. "What happened?" Mia asked. Skyler sighed.
"It doesn't matter, just help me up the stairs with Tom please," Skyler said. Mia nodded and put on some clothes. They helped Tom slowly up the stairs.
"Tom, what happened to Skyler's eye?" Mia asked as she set Tom on the bed. Skyler had gone to check in Natalia.
"Jack accidentally hit her," Tom told Mia. Mia frowned and spoke
"Why would he hit her? It doesn't make sense," Mia said. Tom sighed.
"I know. You and Max seemed occupied earlier," Tom said, trying to make light of the situation. Mia blushed and grinned "Skyler loves you Tom. Never do that again to her. She's been depressed ever since," Mia said. Tom nodded. Mia and Max went back to bed. Skyler came in and smiled at Tom.
"I love you so much," Tom said.
"I love you more," Skyler said. She pushed him back on the bed and kissed him passionately.

Max pushed Mia onto the bed and started kissing her. Things were getting heated and Max went into the bedside drawer. A couple of hours later Mia pushed Max off of her and they both fell asleep.
