Chapter Twelve

Mia and Max were lying in bed together. Tom and Skyler were in the other room. Max was trying to keep Mia awake "I think you should wake up," Max said while his mouth was against her neck. Mia grinned

"You would think that," Mia told him.

"You love getting me into bed". Max smirked.

Chris hadn't told Mia that Kim was pregnant yet. She wasn't talking to him. Kim had told him that Mia would talk to him when she was ready too.

Tom and Skyler had gone back to Tom's house as they needed some time alone. Natalia had been scared of Tom since he had tried to commit. When they got there Natalia clung to Skyler.

Chris was going to make the first step in talking to Mia. He got the phone and dialled Mia's number -

Call Begins

Mia - Hello?

Chris - Hey, can you come over?

Mia - What for?

Chris - I need to tell you something.

Mia - I can't, Max is busy.

Chris - Bring Max and Evie.

Mia - Fine, we'll be there soon

Chris - Thanks.

Call Ends.

Chris hung up just as Kim came in "everything okay?" Kim asked. Chris nodded "Mia's coming over, I'm gonna tell her about the baby" Kim nodded

"Is she bringing Max?"Kim asked.

Again Chris nodded "its the only way she would agree to come" Kim sighed and she went to get dressed.

Tom and Skyler were sitting on the sofa together. Natalia was playing with her toys "Natalia come to daddy"

Natalia looked up and shook her head "no want" Tom sighed and looked at Skyler

"she's scared of me because of what I did yesterday" Skyler sighed

"She's never seen anything like that before Tom. Obviously she was scared".

Mia and Max arrived at Chris' and Mia was panicking "look, calm down. Its gonna be fine" Max said. Mia wasn't convinced

"Yeah right, there's only one possible reason he wants me over here," Mia said to Max. Max sighed and kissed her before Mia knocked the door. Chris answered

"Hiya, thanks for coming," Chris said. Mia faintly smiled. Max showed no emotion.

"What's this about?" Mia asked. Chris smiled and took them into the living room.

"We have something to tell you," Chris said. Immediatley Mia thought the worse. Chris looked at Kim who had a grin on her face

"Me and Kim, we're having a baby," Chris said. Obviously he was happy. Mia started freaking out.

"She's pregnant? You're a hyppocrite. Everyone went insane at me for getting pregnant! No doubt Mum and Dad are all supportive of this. Its a joke!" Mia said. She was angry.

"Mia calm down," Chris said to Mia. Mia scoffed and she walked off. Max puck Evie up

"I should get her home," Max said. Chris nodded and Max left.

Mia was standing by the car crying. Max came out. "Are you alright?" Mia looked up and shook her head

"I'm sorry I walked out. I couldn't handle that," Mia said. Max put Evie in the car and kissed Mia.

"All that matters is you, me and our daughter," Max told Mia. Mia faintly smiled and kissed him.

Tom was sad that Natalia was scared of him. In a way he felt like it was his fault for trying to end his life while she was around. Skyler had put Natalia's favorite film on for her and she received a text from Mia saying she and Max were on their way over.

The doorbell rang so Skyler assumed that it was Mia and Max. When she opened the door she was shocked to see Jack standing there. Obviously he was drunk "Jack, what are you doing here?" Skyler asked. Jack glared at her

"Where's Tom?" Jack slurred. Skyler was starting to get scared. "Well? Where is her?" Jack asked again. Skyler said nothing so Jack barged past and went into the living room.

"Jack, you shouldn't be here," Tom said, trying to reason with Jack. Jack ignored him.

"Everything I have you want, Davina, you had her. Skyler you have her," Jack said. Tom sighed

"Leave Jack, you're scaring my daughter," Tom told him.

"I don't care!" Jack yelled.

Mia and Max arrived at Tom's. Mia noticed Jack's car was there. Max did too. "What's he doing here?" Mia said outloud.

"I don't know," Max told her. Max took Evie from the car. Mia heard crying coming from inside so Max handed her Evie and he went in.

"Jack's here, he's drunk," Skyler said through tears. Max walked into the living room and got Jack away from Tom.

"It's no wonder you lost your job at the school. Acting like this," Max said. Jack turned to him and went to hit him when Max grabbed his arm and got him out the house.

"Are you okay?" Mia asked Max. Max nodded.

"I'm fine," Max told her. Mia hugged him.

"Thanks for that," Tom said. Max smiled.

A few hours later Mia and Max left so Tom and Skyler took Natalia to bed and they went to bed themselves "are you sure you're okay Tom?" Skyler asked.

"I'm fine, Jack was angry. It was bound to happen," Tom said. Skyler sighed and cuddled into Tom.

"I love you Tom, I should never have left you," Skyler said. Tom kissed her head.

"I love you too honey," Tom said back to her. After a few minutes they both fell asleep.

Mia and Max lay in bed together breathless. "You are tiring me out," Mia said. Max smirked and kissed her again.

"You love it though," Max told her. Mia grinned.

"I do love it. Like I love you," Mia said through a yawn. Max kissed her once more before they both fell asleep.
