Felly could always hit the mark, she was the one woman commando unit, whatever, that type of junk. She knew that I did like Maya.

"Luke, seriously, you actually want to desert me?" Felly laughs, but it's forced and I see the anger in her eyes.

"No..." I answer. "I don't want to, but I kinda need to, really."

Felly grips my shoulders and leans in. "Okay, its about time you are straight with me. Don't deny, just be honest. You are my best friend and I need the truth."

I look at her slightly annoyed. "Fine. Okay, so I'll tell you the truth. So, us guys live kinda dull lives, you girls care about each other, grades, and that deep stuff," Felly nods," And we care about like..." I squirm.

"What?" Felly asks. "What, like the basketball deflating?"

I look at Felicia, how did I get such a beautiful, nice friend? She doesn't even try. With the melting chocolate hair, dirty skinny jeans, effortless smile. She has a brilliant mind too, I am just crud.

"Well, us guys are, well at least us, Jay, Craig, Hector, and I, are afraid of being embarrassed in front of a girl, mainly you. I know, you kinda are up there, like a 10, you got that sass. And I know you so well, and it's getting a little hard to stand the 'friendly' teasing, since I know you so well," My insides turn a bit. Darn it, darn it, I repeated myself. And wait a minute...what did I just say?! Got that sass? A ten?! I sound crazy.

The 'I know you so well' stirs Felly up a bit. I know I've hit a mark, that is rotted to biggest secret, which isn't really that bad, but it breaks her heart to talk about. She told it to me once when she was in fifth grade.

"Okay, now that you made an argument, I get to give my own speech," Felly declares with her haughty attitude.

Felicia says something about me being sexist, but I'm not paying any attention. Lately I had become a little into her, and she and Maya don't co-exist well. I knew she didn't like me, she had better stuff to do.

"Okay?" Felly asks pinning me to the wall. It seems the rant is over. "Agreed?"

I nod gulping in the sent she carries, roses. "Okay fine, we'll give this a try, but of things get bad during the summer, lets drop it? Capiche?"

Felicia dives in for a hug. "Yes! I knew it!" She smiles.

I look nervously at her and return the hug, but something isn't right.
