Chapter 9

I walk to my car. What the heck!? Where is Blake? I look around the parking lot but I don't see him anywhere. This day just gets better and better. A cold breeze blows by, causing my skin to get goosebumps.

"Are you getting cold, Princess?" Says a deep voice from behind me. I whirl around to see Nathan standing there, smirking. He shuffles his jacket off-revealing a dark gray shirt- and puts it around my shoulders. I'm instantly hit by Nathan's manly cologne. It smells like the woods. I involuntarily smell-in his delicious scent that is emitting from his jacket. I feel my cheeks blush when Nathan shoves his hands into his jean's pockets.

"Yeah.." I look towards my car. "Well, my friend..er.." Should I tell him that I have a 'boyfriend'? "Well, umm..he left me here after.." Nathan just nods.

"You don't have to explain anything. I saw the whole thing." My cheeks instantly feel like they're on fire.

"Oh..." I say. Realization hits me. "What time is it?"

"10:30 pm. Why? Are you tired, princess?" Nathan asks me throwing an arm over my shoulder.

"No, Natey. First of all, if I'm not back by 10:45 I'm grounded and second don't call me princess." I say throwing his arm off of my shoulder. I walk to my car and jump in the driver's side.

"Didn't you tell me to call you princess and not queen?" Nathan gets in on the passenger side.

"Who said that you were riding with me?" I say, completely ignoring his previous comment.

"Well, since we're neighbors..and your mother." He puts his feet on the dash. Oh, hell no.

"Get your filthy feet off of Wanda!" I push his feet and they fall to the ground with a loud thud.

"Wanda?" He bursts into laughter.

"Yes, Wanda." I say defending my car.

"Okay. Okay. Fine, princess."

"Please don't call me that." I start the drive back home.

"Would you rather I call you babe?" Nathan smirks at me. I send him a menacing glare. "Touchy.."

"No, I just.." I turn and look at Nathan. His right hand runs through his jet black hair. "I have a boyfriend." At the last word, Nathan practically jumps out of his seat. It's so surprising, I let out a small giggle.

"Who? Who stole you away?" Nathan's jaw is clenched. Every other word his hand twitches. What the hell?

"Well, he's not.." Should I tell him that we were only pretending to date? No. I don't finish the rest of the sentence.

"Was it that blonde guy? What's his name..Flake?" I knew you was talking about Blake so I just nod. "Why can't you see that he's a player?"

"Blake is not a player! If anything YOU ARE." I let my word sink in. I turn down the street to my house.

"I wouldn't have left you at the restaurant. I wouldn't have cheated on you!" I feel my eyes start to form tears. I park Wanda in front of right in front of my house.

"Why do you CARE so much?" I say, exasperated.

"Because.." his beautiful, dazzling blue eyes meet my boring brown ones. "You're a beautiful ray of sunshine. A daisy in a medow. A beautiful princess." He tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear and his hand cups my chin. I'm instantly breathless.

"I want you to be my sunshine, my daisy, my princess." He unexpectedly leans forwards and kisses me. "Only...mine..." He says between kisses. For the second time today, I've been kissed by Nathan Williams. What am I doing?

I push him backwards and get out of my car. He follows suit as I lock my car doors. Tears are streaming down my face at what I'm about to say. I walk over to him and look him right in the eyes.

"How many girls fell for that line?" I don't wait for his answer. I turn and walk towards my front door. I hear footsteps behind me but decide to ignore them.

"Shyanne!" I ignore that too. Once I reach the door I open it and then go inside quickly. I come face to face with Nathan. "I won't give up. I want you and only you, princess." I turn my head and slam the door. What just happened!? I slowly walk towards the stairs that lead to my room.

"Shyanne!!" I cringe. I whirl around to face the worst thing possible..my pissed off mother.
