"You said I'm not giving enough,
but Baby girl I'm trying hard to keep up, when you fear.
That I'ma always leave you lonely. But you see that I want us to last forever,
And my heart stays open..
Darling you know it will get better.
But you see that shit wont happen overnight
we just gotta give love a try.And when you look beside you
Girl I'll be there.
When it rains down your face Tell me where do the tears end up. Don't wanna drown in a river of your sorrow.
And I, I will swim a thousand miles. Just for one minute to see you smile.
I'm treading water,
I'm treading water
Please don't cry 'cause your drowning me."|| Treading Water- Chris Brown ||
I use to be addicted to this song, but sorry for the delay on updates, I'm working on another book also. Enjoy this chapter!Desta Evans
I looked at him in total shock. The blood in my veins, feeling as though they were speeding through my body, making me also feel numb. I parted my lips, ready to speak.
What should I say?
I've never been anywhere with anybody. I rarely even went out with my parents."I-I. Um"
"You're going. Go ahead and get dressed, I'm not taking a no for an answer Ma'"
His baritone voice ringed through my ears, making me weak. For the first time, somebody has an positive effect on me.I nodded my head slowly, and quickly ran upstairs.
I put on an baggy t-shirt, and a pair of jeans. I looked Down and saw their was still scars from my self-wounds.
I decided to wear an long sleeved shirt instead, so Mr.Brown wouldn't suspect anything. I threw on a pair of Lebron's. I grabbed my phone, And my keys.
I looked at myself in the mirror.
I still look worthless
I sighed heavily, and walked down stairs. I didn't see Mr. Brown.Great! He practically begged me to go, and now he's gone.
I rolled my eyes, and began to walk upstairs. Tears filling the rim of my eyes, threatening to fall.
Why do I cry every-time something bad happens? I'm so fucking weak, I can't stand myself.
Once I made it halfway up the stairs my door opened, causing me to turn around quickly.
I see Mr. Brown walk in.
I think he saw my tears, because his wonderful smile quickly faded."What's wrong? Why are you crying Ma'" He quickly ran next to me.
"N-nothing" I breathed, forcing an smile.
"I know you're lying, but I'll let it slide. You can tell me anything as your b-teacher. And please stop crying, you're too beautiful." he stated, with an stern look. I nodded my head,
He grabbed my hand, and lead me down the steps.
When he touched my hand, his heat radiated through my finger tips. Making my body explode. Feeling an sensation as if I had fireworks in my stomach.
Strange right?
He let go of my hand, and we walked out side. I made sure I locked the door and we went to his car.
Now that I was a little familiar with his car, I knew how it opened. I opened the car door, sliding in, as I quickly closed it.
Mr. Brown then went on the other side, and hopped it. I began playing with my finger nails, until Jhene Aiko blasted through the speakers. I turned towards Mr. Brown to see him look as if he was embarrassed."I know it's a little weird for a grown man to own Jhene Aiko CD's but I can't help that I love her voice." He chuckled slightly, probably because he had to explain himself.
"Ha, it's okay. I happened to love Jhene. She's actually my favorite artist" I smiled."Really? Me too.
Well, I hope you don't mind that I play my favorite song of hers" he grinned slightly, and W.A.Y.S began playing through the speakers.
He started the car, as me and him began nodding our heads. He pulled off, the engine roared."If there's one thing that I learned
While in those county lines
It's that everything takes time
You have gotta lose your pride
You have gotta lose your mind
Just to find your peace of mind
You have got to trust the signs
Everything will turn out fine
So why aren't you smiling? Why aren't you smiling?
Life can get wild when, you caught in the whirl wind
Lost in the whirl wind, you're chasing the wind
You gotta understand.
There's really no end, there's really no beginning
There's really no real, there's really no pretending
There's really no fail, there's really no winning
Cause nothing really is and everything really isn't"We both began singing along, quickly making eye contact as we did. I began smiling as we did so, laughing a little to myself because of how into the song we were.
I've never had friends, I've never experienced this, but I'm loving the feeling.
The feeling of enjoying something, with another person."That was fun, I love when you're smiling. You need to do it more.
its beautiful, just like you." he stated smiling big as another song began to play."Yes it really was, thank you Mr.Br-" I began blushing, until he cut me off.
"Please, call me Chris when we're not in school.
And beautiful, I would swim an thousand miles, just for one minute to see you smile." he looked over at me quickly, before looking back at the road.
God, what is this man doing to me...
Exactly he's an man, you're an child. It'll never be right, It can't be right. Can it?"Your name is Chris?" I asked curiously, I know he just said it but, I've never thought that would be his name. I wanted to change the subject, and try to push the thoughts out my head.
"Actually, it's Christopher. But I go by Chris" he explained.
"Don't tell the other students you know my name, this can be our little secret" I nodded."Okay"
"Pinky promise?" He asked, holding his pinky out. I giggled softly, and wrapped my small pinky around his.
"Pinky Promise."
