Chapter 6

Chloe's P.O.V

The only thing i remember was running into my bathroom and then everything turning black. I snapped out of my small thought at the sound of the hospital heart monitor. I opened my eyes trying to adjust to the light. I looked at my surroundings then i saw a person, but not just any person; it was Leondre.

He looked so deep in thought. I really wanted to know but i don't know what to do. I decided to just speak.

"What happened?"I asked startling myself when I spoke. My voice was so raspy.

"Oh my god Chloe your awake i was so worried-" Leo started rambling

"Leondre just tell me why i am in the hospital." I said cutting him off.

"um... You got a text from an unknown number and you ran upstairs. I checked your phone and also ran upstairs. I didn't know where you were and it worried me like hell." He said holding back the tears. " I checked your room and saw your bathroom light on. I ran to the door and tried to open it, but you locked it. I checked around your room and found a skinny clip. I was rushing to the door when i suddenly heard something fall. I put the thing in the door nob to unlock it." He stopped.

I looked up at him and saw tears streaming down his face, which made me cry.

"I found you on the floor with a blade on the floor and bloody wrists. I pulled out my phone and called the ambulance. I didn't want to loose you Chloe, you mean to much to me. I ran to get a cloth and put it around wrists. When the ambulance came i rushed to my car and drove to the hospital." He sniffled. "They said you might not make it."

I scooted over in my bed and left a spot for Leondre to sit. He came up to me and kissed my cheek. We cuddled up and fell asleep. I woke up to people talking, I looked around and saw everyone that i knew and care about. Brooklyn who is crying the most, Charlie who had a few tears slipping down his face, Lucy who is crying a lot, Leondre who has tear stained cheeks, and Jackson who is standing there shocked like something bad just happened.

"What happened" I asked trying to sit up, but pain shot through my body.

"Chloe oh my god you gave us all a heart attack" Brooklyn said still crying her eyes out

"What are you talking about?" I whispered.

"Your heart stopped Chloe and you went into surgery." she said crying even more.

I looked around and see everyone was full on crying even Jackson which I never saw that happen before so that is new to me.

"Oh" was all i could say. I was just speechless.

There was a quiet knock on the door which caught all of our attention.

"Hi miss Johnson,  i'm doctor Prentis. How are you feeling?" She asked writing down things on her clipboard

"My side hurts when I sit up, but other than that I'm fine."

"Good you are free to leave tomorrow morning. Just be careful okay" she said with a smile and left.

I laid my head down on the pillow and closed my eye's, trying to take everything in that he just said.

(Next day)

Leondre's P.O.V

I was in maths class sitting in the back of the class texting Charlie.

"Leondre!" The teacher yelled making flinch and almost drop my phone.

"What?" I asked really confused.

"You need to go to the office." She said sighing "And take your stuff." 

"For what?" I asked packing up my things.

"They said it was important." I got up and rushed out of the class room and down to the front office.

"Do you need something?" The rude lady at the desk asked.

"Um i was called to the office." I said feeling uncomfortable.

"Oh Leondre. Um you need to go see the principle." She said writing down something.

I walked to the back of the office really nervous. Once I got there I knocked.

"Come in!" I turned the knob and walked in. "Ah Mr. Devries." I smiled "Take a seat, we need to talk." I nodded.

"Okay so I was wondering since you are really close to Chloe. I was thinking if you would be okay switching all your classes so they are the same classes as her." He asked leaning forward on his desk.

"Yes I don't mind at I would like to do that." I said smiling.

"Okay, so Chloe will be back next week, so your classes should be changed by then." I nodded and stood up.

"Thank you so much Mr. Johnson." I said shaking his hand.

"No problem, now get back to class." I walked out with a huge smile.

I was walking to class when all the sudden i was pulled into the janitors closet.

"Stay away from Chloe, you got it." I was scared so I just nodded. "Good" was all the person said and then started to kick me in the stomach and start to punch me. Once they left I took out my phone and texted Chloe

(L- Leo C-Chloe)

L: Hey can u come to school to pick me up not feeling well

C: Ya sure just wait for me at the gates

I waited 5 mins and still no Chloe. I was getting worried. About another 5 minutes pass and i see Chloe pull up. I walked to the car and sat down.

"Leo whats the real reason you wanted me to pick you up?" She asked turning her radio off.

"Can we go to your house and then i'll tell you when we are there." I said putting my seatbelt on.

"okay" She said a little unsure.

- skipping car ride -

"So can you tell me now." she said. I sighed and lifted up my shirt, she gasped at what she saw. She walked towards me and she put her hand on my chest and I winced from the pain. I looked down and saw a big bruise starting to form.

"Who did this to you?" She asked looking up at my eye's.

"I don't know." She stayed silent so i decided to speak again "Chloe i know this may seem like a bad time to ask this but...I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me this Saturday?"

"I would love to." She said smiling.
