Chapter 23

Chloe's P.O.V

~ Skipping a month ~

My life has changed. Gabriel found me and is more worse than he was to me. He is now always out getting drunk, comes home late and beats me. Lucy was right he is just another Blake, but worse. Blake never went out and got drunk, he never beat me till i passed out. And if I were to choose between Blake or Gabriel, I would choose Blake.

The bad things that happened in my past still are happening. My cutting hasn't stopped, having my heart broken over and over again by the same person has never stopped. I am stuck in my own personal hell that i can't ever escape.

"Gabriel I'm going to the shop." I said as I walked past him to get my purse and keys. I heard him get up from the couch and next thing he had forcefully pushed me against the wall, making pictures fall and break.

"You're not going anywhere!" He yelled in my face before my head forcefully jerked to the left. The stinging started covering my right cheek.

"We are running out of food." I said barely above a whisper. He rolled his eyes and pushed me harder against the wall; if that's even possible.

"Good you could loose the wight. You should definitely starve yourself." I turned my face so I could look at him better, our faces now inches apart. Teas welling up my eyes, he smirked knowing he had found another weak comment to use against me.

"What about useful things, we are running out of those." I whispered again. He walked back to the couch and shooed me away with his hand. I grabbed my things and quickly walked out the house.

I made my way to Leondre's house to see if he wanted to come to the shops with me. But when I pulled up to his home it was surrounded by cops and the ambulance.

I jumped out my car and ran towards their house. 

"Ma'am you can't go in there." An officer said just as I was about to enter. 

"What the hell happened then?!" I yelled frantically at the officer as tears started falling down my cheeks.

"I'm not allowed to tell you that information, sorry."

"Please I'm his girlfriend, please tell me officer." I said whispering the last part. 

"That doesn't matter, no one is allowed to go in there, I'm sorry." Right then Leondre was rolled out the door covered in blood. My mouth dropped open as i started walking by his side. 

It felt like my world was falling apart at this very moment. Everything was going in slow motion to my eyes. They pushed him into the ambulance and closed the door, they sped off to the hospital. 

I started running to my car and just as I got in my phone rang. I ignored whoever was trying to reach me and sped off the hospital. Once I got there I ran to the lady at the desk.

"Leondre Devries is he here, is he okay, were is he." I asked frantically earning stares from near by patients. 

"Ma'am you need to calm down, we don't have any information about how he is doing." She said looking at me with a blank expression. 

"Chloe!" I heard someone yell from across the hall. I looked behind and saw Victoria. I ran towards her and gave her the biggest hug.

"Is he going to be alright?" I asked as I looked at her with tears in my eyes.

"They aren't sure." She said letting a few tears fall. I nodded my head whilst frowning.

"What had happened though?" I questioned her hoping she would tell me.

"He was shot." She whispered. I shook my head not believing what I had heard. I was starting to step back until I heard her soft voice again. "Sweetie I'm sure he is going to be okay, don't worry."  But in her voice you could hear she wasn't believing what she said either. 

I turned around and started running to the doors, I ran to my car and just drove to the only place I could really think of. My watery eyes blocking my vision a little, making it hard not to crash. 

I finally made it to Lucy and Charlie's place. I ran to there door just barging in. They were sat in there family room. Lucy must have saw my tear stained face because she quickly ran towards me engulfing me in a hug.

"Hey what's wrong?" She said rubbing my back trying to calm me.

"Leo h-he was shot and they don't know if he is going to make it." I said starting to hiccup. Lucy froze and you could hear Charlie getting up and walking over to me. 

"He what?"

But more important I am not ending the story here I decided to keep going till I get further. And it will be very hard because I am writing another story and I am behind in school work already.
