I watch as a bag of gummy bears, a few chocolate bars, and a box of Twinkies are dumped into the overflowing trolley I've been pushing for the past half hour.
"If you're planning to buy the whole store, just ask for it, sweet cheeks!"
My beautiful wife—who looked even more stunning with the baby bump on her—spun around and shot me a hard glare.
Then while still keeping her glare intact, she grabbed two giant bags of Cheetos, a bunch of Doritos, and tossed them aggressively into the shopping cart, sending a cascade of things tumbling to the floor. I crouched down immediately, gathering the fallen snacks.
"C'mon, sweet cheeks, talk to me." I quickly rushed behind her, pushing the cart while she marched on plucking at the bags of sour gummy worms, Skittles, M&Ms, pretzels, and potato chips.
Each bag was tossed with the same aggressiveness while I struggled to keep everything inside the trolley.
"You've been giving me the silent treatment since last night." I groan.
She finally stopped and turned around meeting my gaze.
"I'm mad at you for how you acted at dinner last night. Seriously, what was wrong with you?" She snapped.
Even in her anger, she was breathtaking. Mirha had always been beautiful, but pregnancy had somehow sculpted her into a goddess, her cheeks plump and rosy, her eyes sparkling differently.
She looked so fucking adorable, I wanted to just eat her up all the time.
And even in this situation I couldn't help but think how this gorgeous, gorgeous woman was all mine and she was carrying my baby.
"Hello, Mr. Frost? Now that I'm finally talking to you, where are you lost?" Her voice snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Don't remind me about last night." I muttered, averting my gaze from her mesmerizing beauty.
"HA! I can't believe this guy! You're still acting all aloof after what you did?" She scoffed.
"I don't like him." It was half-true. Amir seemed like a decent enough guy, even helpful at times, but I just couldn't bring myself to like him for my sister. No one truly deserved her; she was simply too good for anyone.
"Oh, please, you don't like anyone anyway!" Mirha rolled her eyes.
"Can we not talk about this?"
"Fine! We are not talking about this then I'm not talking with you at all! Let's continue the shopping." She spun around and snatched a handful of lays packets, shoving them at my chest.
I struggle to catch them awkwardly, the bags spilling onto the floor as I try to stuff them into the trolley.
As she starts to stomp away, I quickly step in front, catching her wrist before she could move another inch. She whirls around, her eyes flashing with anger.
