I don't remember last night but I woke up in the back room of Cashby's bar so I can guess what happened.

"Hey kiddo.", a voice said. I looked to the left corner behind me and saw Chelsea making coffee and grabbing some keys. "It's noon. Got to open up."

I nodded my head and stood up. "Um...what did I do or...say last night?", I asked cautiously.

"Well you didn't talk much. You just kept zoning out. It took me forever to get you drunk though."

*last night*

"How long is it..gon'...gunning...gonna take you to get me d-er-un-ik?"

"You're already drunk Kat."

"Nu-uh!", I retorted, slamming my hand down on the bar, hard.

"Hey! Calm down. More vodka?"

"Yeah.", I said quietly, trying to grab the bottle from her hand.

"Uh-uh-uh..", she said shaking her finger at me.

"How much do you think Adrian hates me?", I asked, bluntly and expressionless.

"I don't think he hates you. Not now anyway. This isn't helping though.", she said, pouring me half a glass of vodka.

"This isn't supposed to help him. It's supposed to help see. Me! See?", I said, trying my best to fix my mistake.

"Yeah...", she said, holding her vowels. "Look it was hard enough to get you this drunk, so don't complain.", she pouted.

"Whatever. I just want to black out.", I said, staring at the drink in between my hands, before downing the entire thing.

"Okay.", she said, pouring me a full glass.

*present*

"Kid? Snap out of it!", Chelsea said, snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"What? Sorry. I'm gonna go on a walk.", I said before I stood up. "Holy shit.", I said, holding my pounding head in my weak hands, barely held up by my limp arms.

"Here take this.", she said, handing me some Ambien. But I shook my head.

"Do you have morphine?"

"Nope. I've got Vicodin.", she said, handing me another bottle. I grasped it and opened the bottle, popping two pills in my mouth. She handed me a bottle of water and I swallowed the relief.

"I'm gonna go.", I said, before turning and heading out the door. I walked through the bar and out the front door. I ran into Austin on the other side of the door.

"Hey what's the rush?", he asked, holding my shoulders and examining my eyes as I looked around anxiously.

"I just. I got to get home.", I said, knowing that I wouldn't be going home.

-Adrian's POV-

Where the hell is Kat?! I didn't see her all day yesterday and she didn't come home last night. I must have fallen asleep for a few hours but when I woke up she still wasn't there.

"You're sure?"

"Christine are you sure?"

"Alright thanks. Bye."

I just hung up the phone with Kat's best friend Christine. She said she hadn't seen her but that she was going to go out and look for her. She said she had a good idea where she could be. Christine has been Kat's best friend since they were young. They've become a bit distanced lately but they both care for each other a lot. I'm going to call Ana.
