"That Ron is really starting to piss me off," Regulus grumbled under his breath while Diana was braiding her hair back in front of her mirror.
Regulus was sprawled on her bed, having just come into her room as a cat and dropping himself on the bed in his normal human form.
He'd dramatically sighed and she smiled back at him in amusement. "Because he hated you?" She asked, causing him to shoot her a short glare.
"No, because he is being a little twat to Hermione," he pointed out like it was obvious. "Started mocking her in class today, poor girl was brought to tears," a hint of rage seemed to glint in his eyes as he recited it. "And he stepped on my tail today," he mumbled after, Diana grinned, but pretended not to hear it.
"You've grown to care a lot for the girl," Diana pointed out and Regulus huffed.
"Yeah, of course I have," he said looking rather serious, which in all honesty, she hadn't expected. "I've spent a lot of time with her and got to know her, she's incredibly smart and has a crush on an absolute bimbo who doesn't realise how much of a sod he's being to her," he rambled and Diana sighed.
"They'll come around," Diana promised, trying her hair together and moving on to put some earrings in her ears. "It's like I'm in school all over again, earlier Pippa came to complain about Lavander and Ron, now I've got this," she chuckled.
Regulus knew she was trying to provoke him, so he didn't bite, though gave her a warning glance trough the mirror she was watching him in.
"And really, if it isn't either of you it's Harry," she added slyly. "Though you will always be my favourite gossip buddy, don't worry," she promised and her rolled his eyes at her.
"I know what you're trying, soleil, it's not working," he informed her with an unamused look, quite opposite of how she was looking at him.
"Mind taking the honour of doing my necklace?" She asked, holding the golden chain up, two golden antlers, decorated with little diamonds hanging at the end.
"Always," he climbed of the bed and took the necklace out of her grasp, undoing the clasp and moving the jewellery over her head and then around her neck.
He gently moved some of her hair out of the way and attached the two chains without much trouble. He then planted a feather light kiss on the back of her neck, before moving her braid back in front of it.
Diana stared at herself in the mirror, the necklace around her neck taking most of the spotlight.
She'd had it for years, but hadn't worn it in a while. James had given it to her for her fifteenth birthday, since then, she had never really taken it off, only for quidditch.
She caressed it fondly and then smiled up at her curly haired partner who was admiring her aswel.
"Ready for your party?" He asked her and she chuckled.
"You are coming, aren't you?" She asked him and he raised an eyebrow.
"I think I might just give Slughorn a heart attach if we did that," he pointed out making her let out an exasperated sigh.
"Not like this!" She insisted and he laughed in humourless disbelief.
"What, you want me to come along as Crookshanks?" He clarified and she nodded, making him give her a lob sided grin before planting a kiss in her hair. "That things one does for love," he said before turning back to an orange furry cat.
"Great," she said standing up. "Now come along my love, we're going to dance," she joked and the cat meowed, clearly unamused at her attempt to be funny.
