Diana was eating her lunch in silence when she sees McGonagall walking over and waving her over. Diana gets up and walks around the table.
McGonagall glances at the students, some of them curiously looking at the two of them. Diana does the same and sees Malfoy talking to Harry and Ron, she is about to excuse herself to go over there when McGonagall touches her arm.
Diana gives her a 'what is it?' Look and McGonagall whispers to her. "Longbottom is in the hospital wing, accident with flying class." She says and before she can say anything else, Diana rushes out, towards the hospital wing, earning some looks from students who are probably wondering what's going on.
She notices Ron wittily saying something to Hermione and however bad she wants to help the girl, she was to worried for Neville. She wished she had stayed to hear from Minnie what happened.
She turns a corner and walks up the stairs that lead to the hospital wing. She opens the door to see Madam Pomfrey aiding Neville's arm.
"Poppy, what happened?" She asks, glancing at Neville with a worried look. Diana hadn't had the chance to catch up with her yet, though the two have a close relationship, because Diana was always with Remus after the night of his 'Furry little problem' as James liked to call it.
"Oh, Pot- Diana, Longbottom had an accident with his first flying lesson, a broken pulse, nothing I can't fix." She says, quickly stopping herself at the beginning of her sentence.
"Good." Diana smiles at Neville. Poppy moves to walk into the room beside the hospital wing that she uses as some sort of office or somethin, Diana had never been inside, she tried sneaking in once, only to be scolded by Madam Pomfrey.
Madam Pomfrey touches Diana's shoulder when she walks past. "I'm happy to see you, 'Sardothien'" Diana smiles at her before walking to Neville's bed.
"Are you alright, Longbottom? What happened?" She takes a seat on the chair next to the bed. He looks at the ground disappointment in his eyes. "I couldn't control my broom in Flying class. I don't know how it happened... everyone was laughing." He looks away from her, as if hiding tears.
She feels her heart ache. "Does your arm still hurt?" Diana asks and he shakes his head. "No." He says, his voice cracking at the little word.
Diana clenches her teeth, she can't stand seeing him like this, he doesn't deserve this. "Come." She stands up and reaches out her hand.
"What?" He looks at her hand, slightly hesitating. "I'm going to teach you how to fly, you're going to be the best flyer in your year." His face brightens before it falls again. "I don't think I'll be able to, I'll probably just fail again."
Diana feels slight anger bubble up inside her, if she could lay hands on the person that got this into his mind she would- no, no , happy thoughts, happy thoughts.
