Heimerdinger's PoV

Heimerdinger came at their call he first checked on his daughter who nights before come to him with tears streaking her face and her arm destroyed. She assured him she was fine and only in mild pain, that did not ease his mind.

The trio led Heimerdinger to the Hexcore and he was stunned. The small thing had created a from of habitat around itself. It was changing near constantly. What stuck out most to him was the way the vines that crawled around the plants it had grown were identical to the veins that had spidered up Y/N arm.

Fear grew in Heimerdingers chest.

"I'm calling it the Hexcore" Viktor began "An adaptive Rune Matrix, Hextech that evolves" Viktor was somewhat mesmerized by the floating object but the professor's little toro shied away from it running behind Y/N who had also taken a step away.

"It's ground breaking..." Jayce began explaining the benefits of the hexcore but Heimerdinger's eyes darkened looking at the thing. It was dark magic. It was wrong. It was everything he feared hextech would someday be. Then he saw it, the world turned orange a shade off from the fateful day he found Y/N on the bridge. It reeked of destruction.

"You must destroy it" the harsh voice came from Heimerdinger suddenly

"What?" Viktor questioned destroy it? destroy this...this revolutionary work of art? Never.

"Please if you've ever put faith in my guidance hear me now" Heimerdinger began "I've seen nations destroyed by a single seed and it looked just like this"

"Daddy please, this could save Viktors life" For the first time Y/N spoke stepping towards her father. His eyes flicked to Y/N's gloved hand and knew he must hold his ground, despite the desperation he saw in his daughter's eyes.

Heimerdinger changed his attention from Y/N to Viktor who couldn't seem to remove his eyes from the Hexcore "Viktor, something's different? Something's changed? what did you do"

"Wh-what do you mean Professor" Viktor stuttered, Viktor didn't stutter unless he was unsure, or lying.

"It's that thing" Heimerdinger pointed accusingly "It must be destroyed"

"No I won't let you" Jayce stepped in front of the Yordle's path.

"Jayce this is a violation of the ethos, I will have it destroyed one way or another." He was sure in his choice, these boys were playing with a fire they no longer understood.

"That's your opinion we will see of the council agrees" Jayce sneered "We know we already have Y/Ns vote"

"My daughter has already been a partial casualty in this deadly escapade of yours," The yordle gestured to the girls tortured arm "She is in love and she is willing to give anything to save you Viktor if you abuse this power you will only end up hurting her"

"I can make my own choices" Y/N stepped forward again and the hexcore made a sort of growling sound as Y/N got closer make her jump and step back. They all saw it, the fear that she held but also her resolve to keep the damned thing alive. "I'm a grown woman and Jayce is right this should be brought to the council it's not a choice only we can make." She was trying to ease her fathers mind but it wasn't working

Heimerdinger turned to the to inventors and glared up at them. He knew what would come of this. He knew the destruction it would bring. And his daughter was in the direct line of fire to be one of the first victims.
