Today is my day off from tutoring so I thought I would have a little trip to London. I needed to find somewhere I could do an aprentiship, mainly because I didn't want to do A-levels. I mean Wiltshire is okay for aprentiships but I want something more. I feel like if I don't get out now, I never will.
So I decided that I would wear my boho style crop top (I know I wear a lot of crop tops), my ripped black jeans, knitted grey cardigan, black converse and the most gorgeous grey leather bag. It's my world. Literally. I only did eye makeup today as I wasn't feeling the most confident about finding an apprenticeship.
I got on a train and headed straight to kings cross. I got off the train. I got to the tube and swiped my oyster card. It was crampted on the tube I was stood up next to a performer who was singing the most depressing songs on earth. Like seriously sing some happy songs.
As soon as I was off I gave a sqeal of excitement. I live London. I headed straight for Oxford street and started going through each shop one by one. I love shopping. I know that I'm meant to be job hunting but a bit of shopping can't hurt can it.
Since I was a child I've always wanted to be a model to get through university. Mainly because my baby sitter who was 17 decided to do that and she's now doing commercials. I don't want to be a model as a full time job but I do love Cara Delevigne. Eyebrow goals.
I had made a list of all the places I wanted to try out.
Models inc.
Storm modelling management
Crosby models(An pretty sure I just made that up)
TomorrowI tried models inc. and as soon as they saw the shopping bags they sent me straight out the door. I then went to Crosby models and it was going well until I mentioned my ex boyfriend and I started crying on her. Tomorrow was just as much as a disaster as the first two. Maybe worse. I spilt coffee all down the manager. She said I was clumsy and irresponsible. Storm modelling management was my last chance.
As I walked into the building Marc Jacobs daisy dream perfume wafted to my nose. Tingling my senses. This place is meant for me.
"Hello how can I help you. Do you need me to put your shopping in the back room" a kind lady said smiling to me. I nodded and spoke "Lucy Swift, I had an interview with Jamie Clark for an apprenticeship." I said to her. "Follow me" she said signalling with her hand.
I sat in a glass office overlooking the river.
*after the interview*
I got offered an internship on the spot. They said they like my enthusiasm and that I was confident enough to go shopping before hand, they liked my sense of style as well. I am so excited all I have to do now is pass my exams and I'm on my way to modelling!
