"Oi! Mione!" Pansy hollered, we watched Hermione stop across the yard and look around. Pansy waved her down.

"Are you ever going to ask her out?" I teased. She rolled her eyes.

"I'm pretty sure she's going with that Weasley bloke." She told me. I shook my head. Pans was adamant that Ron and Mione were together because they hung out so much, I was adamant that Mione liked Pans.

"Nah, I don't think they're like that." I replied as her and Harry approached us. He looked down at me.

"My dad says your mum and dad are keeping a secret." He told me. I shrugged.

"Wouldn't be a very good secret if I knew it then, would it?" He rolled his eyes. "Why is everyone doing that to me today?"

"Barty called you out of class yesterday." I nodded.

"Uncle Evan was having a day. I went to visit." He narrowed his eyes.

"Are we going to have another cousin?" He asked.

"You don't even treat them like your uncles, what does it matter to you?" He sighed.

"My dad's just not convinced Barty didn't, you know." Pansy looked at me confused. I glanced at her in my peripheral.

"Barty didn't." I told him sternly. He put his hands up.

"I just-" I cut him off.

"Harry, I punched someone when we first got here over my uncles. Enlighten me, what makes you think you're an exception?" He smiled.

"You're right, my bad."

"They're good people. If my parents are keeping a secret from your parents I have no idea what it may be." He nodded and looked over to Mione.

"I'm gonna go find Ron. You alright?" She nodded and he was off. Both their eyes fell on me.

"What?" I snapped. Pansy smiled.

"What was he on about, love?" I shook my head.

"A stupid rumor."

"About your Uncle Barty?" Mione asked. I nodded. Pansy's eyes widened.

"The rumor?" I nodded. "Oh that little shit, why didn't you lay into him?"

"He's family too, Pans." She rolled her eyes. Mione looked between us confused. I smiled softly at her.

"A lot of people used to think, well still do I guess, that my Uncle helped kill Dorcas Meadows," I explained. Her eyes widened. "he came out of hiding and found my parents, it's a whole thing, but the fact is he didn't do it."

"I'm so sorry, babe." Mione said sincerely as she touched my arm. I shrugged.

"Comes with the family names, I guess."

"I'm just saying if he had a gun, this would all be over with." Pansy rambled on to Hermione as me and Enzo laid in my bed across the room from them. Enzo was stifling his laughs in the crook of my neck while I smiled watching them go back and forth. About an hour ago Pansy brought up different ways to kill you-know-who, she's started with the killing curse but somehow she'd resorted to killing him with different objects. She'd argued a knife, hitting him with a pipe, a fist fight to the death, and right now, we were on a gun.

"He cannot just buy a gun, Pansy. He's sixteen. We don't even know if that would end things. What if he's magically protected from mortal instruments." Pansy rolled her eyes.

"You're a muggle, anyone you know immune to guns?" Hermione rolled her eyes in response. "That's what I thought."

"I'm a muggle, meaning everyone I know is muggles!"

"I'm just saying we should try all our options here." Pansy retorted. Hermione covered her face with a pillow.

"Aren't your parents devoted death eaters?" Enzo finally asked. I cracked and laughed for the first time in that hour. Pansy looked up at us.

"What's that have to do with anything?" She shot back. He shrugged.

"I just would kill to be on the room when they realized their daughter was on one about different ways to kill the dark lord." He smiled. She chucked a pillow at him. He cackled.

"Okay, you all suck. I'm going to walk Mione back before curfew." Pansy declared as she hopped off her bed. I laughed and said my goodbyes to Mione. As the door closed, Enzo rolled over onto me.

"Ugh! What are you doing?" I asked through a laugh. He chuckled as kissed my nose. He looked down at the sweatshirt I was wearing that I'd cut into a cropped top first year.

"Where'd you get this? It looks like an old quidditch warm up." I nodded.

"It is. It was my dad's, or my mum's, I'm not really sure." He chuckled again.

"Your mum was a Gryffindor."

"Yeah, I think dad gave this to her though."

"Should have his name on the back." I shook my head.

"Mm-mm, Uncle Sirius scraped their last name off of all their school stuff or he had nan cover it with scrap fabric," I sat up and turned. He chuckled. "Which is it?"

"Yellow scrap fabric. I think that's why the shoulders are yellow." I smiled and turned to face him.

"That's fun though, isn't it?" He smiled and kissed me.

"Very fun." He replied as he hovered over my lips, I closed the distance and kissed him again. As he pulled back he gave me a look I knew all too well from him. I held my breath as I waited for the impending question.

"Can I come to dinner with your family this weekend?" What? That couldn't be the question, the question was supposed to be what are we? Or even what are we doing, bug? It would end in me saying I didn't know, and him saying he didn't need me to but he wanted me to. I stared back at him confused.

"Uh, yeah? Sure?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I mean, I don't have to. It's just, like, since your dad gave me that whole talk last night about us being together I thought we could get it out of the way with your uncles-" I held a hand up and my head reeled.

"My dad did what?" He clamped his mouth shut."Lorenzo?"

"Guys-" Pansy stopped as she entered the room. I turned to face her. She pointed over her shoulder to the common room. "I'll be out there. Listening through the door, like I don't live here. Curfews in ten, Berkshire."

"I'm head boy, I'm allowed to be out." He reminded her as the door closed. I smacked his arm.

"Perfect, then you'll tell me everything my dad said last night on our rounds." He winced at the idea. I smiled as I hopped off my bed and grabbed a jumper and my wand. I stood and waited for him in the middle of the room. He nodded.

"Yeah, alright." He got up, grabbed his stuff off the foot of my bed and offered me his hand as we walked out of my room. Pansy sat beside the door.

"Ah, hello." She greeted from the floor. She gave me a once over before standing up and grabbing my shoulders. "I don't know what he did, but don't kill him, golden girl. He's mostly innocent."

"We'll see." I told her as we began to walk. "Talk."

"Your dad grabbed me on my rounds last night and gave me a dad talk, which was weird because I've spent so much time in your house and I've never seen him do that." I raised an eyebrow. "Right, not the point. He just told me to not be stupid. To play my cards right, take care of you, treat you right."

"And?" He chuckled lowly.

"And that he still knew plenty of death eaters willing to take me out." I laughed lightly.

"Merlin, we're like actually together if my dad's giving you that talk." I joked. He shrugged.

"It's always been you, bug. I've known that since we were little. You took your sweet time figuring it out though."
