"Potter!" My name rang through the common room. The voice was angry. I peaked up from my spot on Enzo's shoulder. Daph stomped through the room, once gorgeous blonde hair a terrible shade of yellow. I covered my mouth.
"Yikes, Daph. Go swimming in the lake?" I asked.
"I know you did this." I shook my head.
"I wish I did, that's brilliant. Playing at your vanity." I replied. Enzo chuckled beside me.
"That's it! A duel, me and you. Forbidden forest."
"I'm not going to duel you over something I didn't do."
"Now, Potter!" I looked to Enzo, he just shrugged.
"Yeah, alright." I shrugged. I stood up and walked out with the two of them. I shook my head. "This is stupid, Daph."
"Dying my hair was too far."
"You locked me in a room, made my roll spew slugs, spilled a pitcher of juice all over me, and stole my family artifacts and turned them into Dumbledore... but someone pranking your shampoo was too far?" I quizzed.
"Mine were harmless." I snorted.
"Okay, yeah." I shrugged. She raised her wand, Enz grabbed my arm. I held up a hand and punched her in the nose. I turned back to Enzo as she crouched to the ground.
"What's up?" I asked shaking my hand. Her face was solid. He looked between me and Daph.
"I was gonna ask if you needed my wand since you left yours at your nans... but uh, you answered it." I shrugged and began to walk off.
"You just gonna leave her?" Enz asked. I turned back around.
"Hey Daph?" I called. She flipped me off. "Right, so sorry you didn't see that tree coming! Shame we didn't get to duel and break school rules, you know?" I rolled my eyes and walked off. I heard Enzo chuckling as he ran up after me.
"You're insane, bug." I shrugged.
"Can't get in trouble if I don't actually break school rules." I shrugged. He shook his head and wrapped his arm around me. As we walked back in the common room I spotted Theo.
"Hey Nott! Your girlfriend ran into a tree out by the forbidden forest. Looked pretty bad, might've broke her nose." I said as I pulled Enzo into my room.
🗡️🗡️🗡️
"Elenora Potter." Minerva scolded. I suppressed a grin. "First you dye her hair, then you break her nose."
"I didn't dye her hair." I corrected.
"You did break her nose." I nodded.
"Yeah, I did." She took a deep breath and shook her head.
"Elenora you know there's no dueling on school grounds." She told me as she pulled out the student scroll. I grinned. I was trained for this moment.
"May I, Professor?" She sighed but handed it over. I scanned the scroll until I found it.
"Ah yes, student code of conduct: point ten, section b. Dueling is referred to as use of unsanctioned magical fights including but not limited to spells, hexes and curses," I rolled up the scroll and looked at her. "I used none of those Min. I used my hand, and the big family crest ring my mother gave me for my sixteenth birthday." I smiled. She glared at me.
"You also can't prove I did it."
"You admitted."
"Did I? Must be woozy from her challenging me to a duel in the forbidden forest. Pardon me, ma'am." We stared at each other for a moment.
