Chapter 12

Jeanette's POV

My alarm clock began to beep.

I groaned. I got up and did the usual. I got dressed wearing black skinny jeans, a grey hoodie, a pair of white converse and a grey beanie. Then I curled my hair. (I obviously took off my beanie) I added a tiny hint of makeup, grabbed my backpack and phone and left. I wasn't even hungry...

When I got to school I saw Catherine looking at me with a strange face.

"Hey?" I say
"Hey" she says "why are you wearing a hoodie?"
"No reason"
"Are you cutting again?"
"No" I say showing her my arms
"Okay good. I was worried for a sec"
I laugh "yeah I was about to. Then I realized Josh can't be a reason I should die..."
"Good."

I then approach my locker and roll my eyes.

"What are you doing here Josh? Shouldn't you be with Becky?" I say
"Jeanette let me explain-"
"Save it Josh. Clearly you used me. A trick. To get my hopes up thinking someone would actually like me. Face it Josh. No person like you would like a dork like me."
"Jeanette-"

-Bell rings-

"Bye Josh" I say walking away

-Time skip to lunch-

I ran over to Catherine
"Hey Catherine "
"Hey"
"So has Josh tried to talk to you?" She says
"Yeah actually " I say "This morning. I didn't give him time to speak. I really don't want to hear his dumb excuse" I say sitting down at the luch table

I later get a note from someone

"Who's it from?" I ask
"Josh" he simply says

I then grab the note and rip it into a million pieces.

"Note from Josh?" Catherine says
"Yeah"

-Time skip to the end of the day-

Josh's POV

I called Kyle. He always has the best ideas. I just need Jeanette to hear me out. At least we could be friends again.

"Hello" Kyle said
"Hey Kyle, can you meet me at my house today?"
"Uh sure"

I hang up. And walk home.

As I got home I saw Kyle on the porch.

"Hey" I say
"Hey man, what's up" he says
"Lots of things. I need a way to make Jeanette hear me out. I at least want to be friends with her again. I miss her Kyle. I just don't know what to do anymore." I say shedding a tear
"Dude. You're shedding tears. You must really care about Jeanette. You didn't cry for Becky or anyone else."
"I know. She won't answer my calls. You should've seen me yesterday. I was a reck." I say
"I can only imagine. Well, I can try and talk to Catherine. She's Jeanette's best friend. I could explain to her what happened between you and Becky."
"Would you?" I say
"Yeah I can text her and ask her if we could meet up at the park" Kyle says
"Thanks man!"
"Anything for you bro. I just texted her. We're meeting in ten."
"Great"

-Ten minutes later-

Kyle's POV

I saw Catherine at the park. She looked beautiful as always.

"Hey Catherine " I say
"Hey Kyle" she says
"You look great"
She blushes "thanks"

She looks adorable when she blushes

"Hear uh I brought you some fro-yo" I say giving Catherine her fro-yo
"Thanks" she says smiling
"Welcome. So how's Jeanette?"
"Getting better. I really can't tell her emotions anymore. But she's alright."
"Wow. Josh is the same too."
"H-he is?"
"Yeah. Apparently Becky kissed him. He was trying to pull apart but Becky just had a really tight grip on him. And when he went home? He cried. Worse then a baby. He wants to get revenge on Becky and wants Jeanette to hear him out. He wants to be at least friends with her. But she's playing hard to get."
"Are you sure this isn't just one of his excuses?"
"Positive. Josh has never lied to me. And I wouldn't lie to anyone as beautiful as you. Not even if I had to."
She blushes "aw thanks. But Jeanette will just think you're lieing. I'm going to give you advice on how to get her attention tho. Just grab her on a most unexpected time. She will definitely listen."
"Okay. Thanks for the advice." I say smiling
"No problem"

I then started being idiotic and started at her

"What?" She says
"Nothing just admiring your beauty "
She blushes "aw thanks "
"Sorry I just really like you"
She blushes even more "Ima be honest with you. I like you too"
"You do?"
"Yeah. I never thought you liked me tho"
"Are you kidding? I never thought you like me" I say sitting on a bench.
She laughs "well now you know."

I love the way she laughed. I couldn't help resist to kiss her. So I did.

Catherine's POV

He kissed me. HE kissed me. Am I dreaming?

He then smiled at me and I smiled back

"Will you be my girlfriend." He says

I froze

"Y-yes" I say smiling
"YAY" He says smiling
"Well I gotta go now. Jeanette must be worried about why I haven't returned from buying her a donut. So I'll text you later. Bye"
"Bye" he says and then kisses me

-Time skip to when I got to Jeanette -

"Here's your donut" I say
"Thanks" she says
"Oh and guess what?"
"What?"
"I'm dating Kyle."
"OMG congrats"
"Thanks" I say "He even KISSED ME"
"Aww"
