Chapter 41

-Still Tuesday-

Jeanette's POV

-Time skip to lunch-

I was about to get my lunch, looking for Emma, Zoe and Logan. I was then stopped by Triston. I froze. 

I don't know why, but every time his icy, blue eyes stared into my casual hazel eyes, I wouldn't move. At all.

"Hey, your Jeanette right? Alex's twin sister?" Triston says

"I-I-I. Uh, yes, I am." I say mentally slapping myself for stuttering

Triston smiled "Just wanted to say hi. Cool hair by the way. I like how it looks on you."

 I chuckle "Thanks, Triston. That's so nice of you."

"Anytime. See you around Jeanette." He says 

"See ya" I say and take a deep breath and exhaled it slowly. I then went to the table Emma, Zoe and Logan were sitting yesterday....

When I got there, they were already there, chatting about something.

"Hey" I say and smile

"Hey Jeanette!" Emma says

"Hey" Zoe and Logan say in unison.

"So. How you guys doing?" I ask

"Tired" Logan says

"How come?" Zoe asks

"I think I know the answer to that..." I say

"Which is?" Emma asks

I sigh "Logan and I were texting til like 2 am when we realized what time it was."

"Ohhh, then how come you don't seem tired?" Emma asks

"I have no idea." I say 

Logan chuckles "You wanna switch bodies? I could sure use energy..."

I laugh " Oh Logan. Just have an apple. It wakes you up. I ate an apple in the morning. So eat an apple."

Logan sighs "Okay. Fine. " He then grabs an apple

"Good." I say

"So. Jeanette, you want to go to the park with us after school? If you don't know where it is, don't worry. I'll guide you there" Zoe says

"Uh sure. I just gotta let my mom and my brother know."  I say

"Okay yay" Emma says

-Time skip-

I was at my locker, waiting for Emma, Zoe and Logan. I had already texted Alex saying  was going to the park. I was focused on my phone til I got interrupted by someone.

"Jeanette?" The person says

I then look up to see who it was. "Oh. Hi Triston." I say

"Hey, you know that Alex left like 5 minutes ago right?" Triston say

I chuckle "Oh yeah I do, I'm waiting for my friends. I'm going to the park with them."

"Oh, well that makes more sense. I knew you weren't stupid." Triston says

"I can be sometimes..." I say

Triston laughs "Well at least you're honest."

"Always try to be" I say

"You're... so not like most of the girls around here. Most not all. They'll just say they're the smartest thing ever but really not so much, y'know?"

"Yeah totally. I get it. " I say "I've seen a lot of them. Not just here, in Florida too"

Triston chuckles "So, do you want me to drive you and you're friends to the park? I was just heading there actually."

"Uhh, I don't know. Gotta check in with the others, see if they want a ride." I say

"Alright. I'll wait with you then" Triston says

"Okay" I say smiling

Triston smiles "So, how do you like this school so far?"

"It's good. Met a lot of nice people. The teachers are well focused. Its great" I say

"Well glad you like it. Although, the lunch ladies can be a pain in the ass." Triston says

I laugh "I figured"

"Seriously though, they have like anger issues."

I chuckle "Oh let me tell you something, If Emma seems to act nervous around you is because she is. Since you're the most popular guy in school, she tends to act...nervous."

Triston chuckles "She doesn't have to be nervous. I'm not a jerk I hope. I'm really nice honest"

I chuckle  "Honestly, the impression you've made on me, you don't seem like a jerk. So yeah, I believe you're nice"

I then see Emma, Zoe and Logan approach

"Oh thank God you're still here" Emma says out of breath

"We- we ran from Emma's class all the way here" Zoe says

"Why?" I ask

When they finally catch their breath Logan then says "Emma's fourth period teacher forgot to give her homework. her fourth period is so far. We decided to go with her kept. So when we finally got there, Mr. Jones just kept talking and talking. Until he finally shut up so we ran over here."

"Ohhh" I simply say "Well, Triston here wants to take us to the park in his car. He's was about to go there."

"Uhh. Sure." Emma says

"Okay. Let's go" Triston says and smiles
