Chapter 25

Jeanette's POV

Days past. I still haven't talked to Josh. I was slowly getting deppressd. All the guilt in me kept haunting me. I stopped eating.

One night, two days before Halloween, it was pouring. Alex, my mom and I were in the living room. I then got up and left. Without an umbrella or anything. Alex was calling out for me but I just ignored. I just needed to do this. I was heading for Josh's house.

When I arrived, I didn't hesitate to knock on the door. Josh answered and I started speaking really fast so he wouldn't shut the door on me.

"Jeanette?" He says
"I'm sorry. I know you don't wanna see me right now, but just hear me out. I can't take it anymore. The silent treatment. You don't even know how guilty I feel. I stopped eating and thought about cutting. I love you Josh. I need you to be at least my friend again." I say letting a tear crawl out of my eye.

Josh looks at me directly in the eye. His icy grey eyes. Staring directly at me. He then stepped outside and kissed me. Not just any kiss. It was passionate. And filled with love.

"I love you too Jeanette " he whispers in my ear and hugs me, even tho I was soaked and wet.
"Wait here. I'll go get you a towel so you can come in." Josh says
"Okay" I say waiting outside his porch.
"Here." He says and I take the towel wrapping it around me, drying myself. "Come in" He says
I chuckle "If you're parents see me they might think I'm crazy."
Josh chuckles "Yeah, but luckily I'm the only one here. My parents went out and took Hanna."
"Oh. Well then good." I say
"Do you wanna change? I'll let you borrow some of my clothes. Because you're really soaked. Why'd you do that? Why couldn't you do it on a normal day?" Josh says
"Uh yeah sure. And I just really needed to grab your attention. And I was losing it so I couldn't wait. I missed you. A lot." I say
Josh smiles "I missed you too." He says and kissed my forehead. "Come upstairs. I'll look for clothes and you can change in the bathroom. And you can put your wet clothes in a bag." Josh says
"Okay" I say smiling.

When we went upstairs, we entered Josh's room. It was cleaner than I thought it would be though. And it smelled like his cologne. I liked it.

"Here you go, sweets" Joshs says handing me a white shirt, sweatpants and boxers.
"Thanks" I say heading to the bathroom.

When I put on his clothes, they were big but oh well. I then went back to Josh's room.

"Aw. You look so cute with my clothes on" Josh says
I smile and laugh "Thank you." I say sitting on his bedroom couch.
"Don't sit there, sit next to me" Josh whines sitting on his bed.
I chuckle "Okay" I say sitting next to Josh
"Yay" Josh say while hugging me "I missed this, so much" Josh breaths
"I missed this too. I missed you" I say

Josh then kisses my forehead and we fell asleep.

-Le next day-

I woke up with Josh by my side. He was still asleep. Aw he looked so cute. I smiled but I didn't wanna wake him so I got my phone without moving a lot, to see what time it was. 6:45 am. I had to go to school today. It was Thursday unfortunately. I then saw Josh wake up.

"Good morning sleepy head" I say
Josh chuckles "Good morning beautiful." Josh then kisses me

I smile. "I should get going. I gotta take a shower and change into normal clothes. I'll give you your clothes later today or tomorrow. Bye Josh. See you at school. Love you"
"Okay babygirl. Love you too bye"

I then leave Josh's house and run home to mine and I got there around five minutes.

I open the door to see my mom coming out of the kitchen.

"Jeanette. Where were you all night? You just took off in the rain." My mom says
"I had to apologize to someone. I couldn't wait anymore. And I kinda fell asleep." I said
My mom sighs "Well good thing your back for school."
"Yeah" I say and run upstairs. I brushed my teeth, and took a shower wearing light blue ripped jeans, a pink sweater with black hearts all over it and black sneakers. I then put my hair in a messy bun and took off to the kitchen. I got a yogurt and took off to school.

-Time skip-

As I got to my locker I saw Catherine, Kyle and Josh waiting. That made me smile. I then kiss Josh and say hi to the others

"So you two are cool now?" Kyle asks
"Yeah" I says smiling
"Yaaay" Catherine says

-Bell rings-

"See you guys later" I say
"Bye" They say in unison
