Chapter 37

-Still Tuesday-

Jeanette's POV

"WHAT?!" I say standing up "Mom, you cannot take this job..." I say shaking my head no while tearing up
"Too...late?" My mom says sadly

I then burst into tears. Alex does the same.

"I thought you said you'd do anything to keep us happy!" I yelled and continued to cry
"I know sweetie, but you'll get used to it! You're gonna be as happy as ever-" My mom says
"Do I look happy?!" I say sobbing

Then there was silence.

"When do we leave?" Alex says sniffing
"Thursday." She says
"But we grew up here mom! How do you expect us to leave like that!" Alex says

I continue to cry "Why can the world just go away" I say and take off to my room, slamming the door behind me and locking it.
I then curl up into a ball and start crying.

Will this be the last time I see Catherine? The last time I see Kyle? The last time I see Josh?

I then tried my best to look like I wasn't crying, and walked to the park, where I knew Josh and Kyle were...

-Time skip-

I was at the park. Josh and Kyle were playing basketball. I sat on a bench pretending I didn't notice them. When they finished playing basketball, the walked over to me.

"Jeanette?" Josh says
My heart began to hurt. "H-hey Josh. Hey Kyle." I say sadly
"What's wrong?" Josh asks
"Nothing." I say
"Stop lying Jeanette. Tell me."
I sigh "Will someone call Catherine and tell her to go to my house? I don't wanna do this in public." I say
"Sure I'll call her" Kyle says

-Time skip-

Catherine, Josh, and Kyle were currently at my room. Paying close attention to me, waiting for me to say something.

I began to tear up.

"You guys are my best friend and Josh, your the best boyfriend I could ever have. " I say letting a tear crawl out my eye
"Promise me, no matter what happens, you won't forget me?" I say
"I promise" They say in unison
I sigh "They reason. Why I brought you here, is, because. I'm moving"

They're eyes widen.

"Where?" Catherine says
"California..." I say
"Wh-what?" Josh says
"Please tell me your lieing" Kyle says
"I wish I was Kyle" I say, my voice cracking.

We all began to cry

"What will happen?" Catherine says "I'm gonna be without my best friend for God knows how long."
"It'll be so different without you. There was always 4. Now we're gonna miss one of the humorous ones... It wont be the same" Kyle says

Josh just stares at me. With tears in his eyes. I got up and sat next to him. I gave him a hug. He then kissed me an I kissed back. It was a passionate kiss, filled with tears. He then broke the kiss and stared directly at me

"What will happen to us?" He says
"What choice do we have Josh?" I gently say while continuing to sob
"A-are we breaking up?" Josh asks
"I-I'm sorry Josh" My voice cracking
Josh just cried.

"When are you leaving?" Kyle asks sniffing
"Thursday. Tomorrow's my last day." I say
"We'll miss you Jeanette " Catherine says
"Stop. I'm not leaving yet. I don't wanna here a goodbye." I say and the sob uncontrollably.

"Why me?" I muttered.

Catherine and the guys stayed till late at night when the went home. I then cried myself to sleep, hoping this was just a horrible nightmare...

-The next day-

I got up miserably, brushed my teeth, took a shower and got dressed wearing black leggings, a plain white shirt and a jean jacket. I then put on brown boots. I then curled my blue hair and got my stuff and walked to the kitchen.

"You ready for the last day?" He asks
"No." I say

My mom then walks in. "Morning kids. Did you guys pack?"
I just ignore her and walk away to school.

"Some attatuide she has..." She says
"We packed " Alex says and chases after me

-Time skip-

I walked to my locker miserably. Catherine, Kyle and Josh was there. It breaks my heart to know that this might be the last time I see them outside my locker, or ever.

"Hey Jeanette " they say in unison "Hi" I say
"How you been?" Josh says
"Not so good. You?" I say
"Yeah same."
"C-Can we hang out today? Maybe go to an arcade or the amusement park?" I ask
"Sure!" Kyle says
"Yeah! Lets do it!" Catherine says
"I'll do it! Just after school, give me a few minutes. I have to pick something up from a store." Josh says
"Okay!" I say smiling weakly.

-Bell rings-

"Bye guys" I say. I suddenly turn around and kiss Josh on the cheek.
"Sorry. I shoul-" I say then get interrupted.
"Its fine" Josh says and blushes
I smile and walk to my class

-Time skip-

Catherine, Kyle and I were waiting for Josh to arrive to my house from where he was picking something up from a store. I wonder what it was...

I then snapped to reality

"Yoo hoo. Earth to Jeanette " Catherine says
"Huh?" I say
"You just literally went to your own world. You okay?" Kyle asks
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I say

Josh then arrives.

"I'm here. Sorry it took a while." Josh says
"Its fine. Can we go now?" I say
"Yeah let's " Josh says and we take off

-Time Skip-

We headed to the amusement park.

We rode tons if crazy rides, bought cotton candy and even face painted. We screamed, and we laughed. We even tripped a couple times (aka me). We had a blast. Catherine then took us home. I then took a long shower. It was my last day in Florida...

I later then cried myself to sleep, thinking about my new life in California. Thinking about how much I'll miss Josh, Catherine and Kyle. I don't know what I'll do without them. Or if I'll ever find friends like them. Who were just like me and accepted the fact I was weird as shit. I don't know if I'll ever see them again. My life is ruined forever now...
