Chapter 23

Jeanette's POV

"Should we head to the park now? Its been 45 minutes " I say
"Sure let's go." Catherine says

-Time skip-

When we arrived at the park I was getting a little bit nervous.

"Where are you guys gonna hide?" I ask
"We can hide in the bushes. Becky's too clueless to know where we are" Josh says
"Okay. I see Becky. Be careful " I say

I walk up to Becky

"You wanted to see me?" I ask
"Yes. So, I believe someone owes you an apology." Becky says "Brittany!"
Brittany then comes out of no where "Jeanette. I'm so sorry for saying those things about you and broke your nose. I deserved to have a black eye"
I just stood silent
Becky then says "Good. Go back with Jen" and Brittany takes off
"Now, I see you and Josh are a couple agai-"
"Becky if you're just gonna tell me to stay away from Josh, I won't. Whatever you do, isn't gonna make me" I say
Becky growls then chuckles "Oh really? How about that little kiss with you and Wesley? Have you told Josh? I'm sure he wouldn't be so happy. Tell him, or I will. Either way, it's gonna destroy your relationship. But that's the point."

Okay at first she was nice to me and the evil bitch is back. Great. And I can't believe she was spying on me at the cafe!

"You rotten bitch. I can't believe you spied on me!" I say
Becky laughs "Oops. Remember, Jeanette. You have until Friday!" She says and walks off.

I then shed a tear and walk home. I just didn't want to go with Catherine and the others. I then started crying and continued walking.

Catherine's POV

I saw her walking away towards her house. Did she forget I was here? No she couldn't. She must've been really upset. I saw her crying? That's when I called Josh and Kyle up.

"Josh, Kyle! C'mon. Something happened!" I say
"What did?!" Josh says worried.
"I don't know just c'mon. Get in the car!"

I then drove to Jeanette's house. I got the keys and opened the front door.

"Wait in the living room. Okay?"
"Okay..." Kyle says
Josh sighs "okay."
I smile and quickly went upstairs. Her bedroom door was locked. I began knocking

"Jeanette? Jeanette I know you're in there. Please it's just me Catherine. Open the door please?" I say
Then there was silence. But Jeanette then decided to open the door and the locked it again.

"Where Josh and Kyle?" She asks
"Down in the living room. Now what's wrong. You're crying."

Jeanette sighs and sits on her bed and continues to cry. I then sit next to her

"That's okay. Cry all you want. When you're ready to tell me, you can." I say

A few minutes later she calmed down a bit

"Are you ready to tell me what happened?"
She nodded and took a deep breath. "At first, Becky made Brittany apologize about breaking my nose."
"Well that's a good thing." I say
"Well yeah, but then she started becoming evil again. Today when I went to meet up with Wesley, Wesley kissed me and she saw it. I quickly pulled away, and he understood that I had a boyfriend. And we're friends. But Becky is making me tell Josh, or she will." She says continuing to sob
"Wesley kissed you? I always thought he was gay." I say
"Well. He kissed me. And I have to tell Josh. Then he's gonna be pissed. And he's gonna break up with me." She says sniffing.
I then hand her tissues from my backpack. "Here. Take it"
"Thanks." She says and blows her nose.
"Are you gonna tell Josh?"
"What choice do I have?"
"But when?"
"You said Josh is downstairs right?"
"Yes."
"Then I'll tell him now." She says taking a deep breath.

Jeanette's POV

Catherine and I slowly walk down the stairs. Josh then comes and hugs me

"I'm so glad you're okay. Now what happened?" Josh says
I take a deep breath. "Josh. Can I talk to you?"
"Sure"

Catherine and Kyle then head to the kitchen. I sit on the couch next to Josh.

I sigh "Josh I'm gonna be completely honest with you. And you have every right to be mad at me." I say letting a tear crawl out of my eye.
"Today, when I went to meet up with Wes, he- he kissed me. I didn't tell him about you before the kiss because I never thought he would be like this. Wes was different. Becky saw the kiss and she made me tell you or she would. " I say and crying
Josh just stood silent.
"Goddamnit Josh. Say something. Please" I say sobbing
"I'm sorry." Josh says and leaves my house.

I sob uncontrollably. What just happened? Catherine and Kyle then come into the living room. I suppose Catherine told him what happened with Becky. They then sit next to me and comfort me.

"But it wasn't my fault he kissed me..." I whisper so that no one could hear me.

When Kyle and Catherine left I miserably went upstairs changed into my pajamas and the middle of the day and watched movies until I fell asleep.
