Michelle's POV
I wake up in the arms of Kevin.
His hair is slightly disheveled and his glasses are crooked on his nose.
I immediately start blushing.
What the heck?
I shove his arms off me in surprise.
His eyes flutter open.
He looks around in confusion. "Um... good morning?"
"Morning," I say with a straight face.
I stand up handing him his cover.
"Um... thanks for sharing your blanket with me for the night."
He awkwardly takes it from my hand. "You're welcome."
We eat breakfast and head out to the Blood Moon pack.

"THIS RIVER ISN'T ON THE MAP!!!" I shriek.
"It's only like 6 feet deep, stop panicking. Can't you swim?"
My eyes widen and don't respond.
"Wait are you serious? You can't swim?" he splutters, cracking up with his eyebrows raised.
He was laughing really hard.
"Just doggie paddle," he says.
"Well what about the backpacks? And what about your glasses?" I ask, taking off my backpack.
I can't get in.
I won't get in.
"The backpacks are waterproof and I have the strap for my glasses," he says reaching behind his head and pulling at the strap.
He walks into the water and starts treading in.
"I can't get in," I state, my voice cracking.
He immediately looks up to the sight of my teary eyes.
His eyes soften.
I look away, embarrassed.
"Hey look Michelle, I'm sorry," He walks out of the water toward me.
He tilts my chin up and stares into my eyes, wiping away my tears away with his thumbs. "C'mon I can help you just hold my hand."
He slips his hand into mine.
I stiffen I look down at my hand which is now being occupied by his.
"Kevin, I have a mate and we're going to see him right now. Is this really appropriate?"
He removes his hand and is instantly aggravated.
"Michelle we are trying to cross the river and you can't swim! I'm here trying get US to YOUR mate! Get out of your feelings."
He lowers his tone and says, "Now do you want to still go or no?"
I am shocked at his outburst and can't find the words to answer his question, even though it is a simple yes or no answer.
I lower my head down, wiping away the rest of my tears.
How dare he shout at an Alpha!
Should I wring his neck?
He starts going the opposite way than the river.
I grab his sleeve. "Please let's go."
I gesture to the river.
