Getting "Crushed"

1. Picking a mate

Being an omega Yixing was small. But for some reason he was extra small. He was the runt of his litter and no one thought he'd make it but he did, somehow.

"Yixing, come on! Stop playing! The other pack will be here soon!!" Minseok; Yixings older brother called. He was part of the same litter only he was the first born and he was also a lot stronger than the others. Yet, he too like Yixing was an omega, and hoped he would get to be with a strong mate that could overpower him easily. Yixing just wanted someone who was nice to him.

"I'm coming!!" Yixing jumped up from lying among some daisies and rushed over to his brother.

"Oh really, Yixing?" Minseok sighed as he brushed some pollen off of his brothers clothes. "You can't roll around in daisies before the visiting pack comes! You'll mask your scent. That's what usually attracts the alphas!" He started to drag Yixing back to their village. Their village was a large area filled with cabins, a large hall where people congregated for meetings and gatherings, and in the centre of the village was a large fire pit that when lit would reach great heights.

"I'm sorry Minseok, but mother told me my scent has been getting stronger so I figured it would help." Yixing said as he remembered what happened when Minseok first went into heat and how no body expected it, so he had to be put in the far away cabin until it was over, since he has no mate. Minseok told Yixing it was the worst week of his life and hoped his little brother would never have to go through that torture. Unfortunately though, Yixing's heat was due any day now and he didn't want the visiting alpha to have to deal with that hindering his choice.

"Ah, yes. That actually makes sense." Minseok and Yixing quickly arrived back at home just as their mother was getting their brothers and sisters lined up for the arrival of the new pack.

"Come on you two late bums!" She said pushing them in line, one at each end.

Yixing could sense the approaching pack as they appeared coming out of the forest; leading them was a very tall blond that Yixing assumed was the alpha. Behind him was another tall black haired boy with large bags under his eyes. Yixing assumed this was the second. As the group got closer Yixing found himself moving out of sight with all curiosity gone, as he was now intimidated and a bit scared. Minseok was obviously first choice for any alpha as he is strong and would be suitable for bearing many strong pups. "Welcome to our place." Their mother greeted. "Here are the choices you have to choose from." She gestured to the row of Yixing and his siblings. The alpha greeted their mother before even looking at the line. Yixing managed to see the way Minseok looked at the alpha though. He knew he was strong and Minseok desired someone strong. Yixing looked at the others in the pack. Maybe there was someone else who would take him.

By the looks of it half the pack was already together. One of them even had their hand on their stomach showing they're pregnant and a very protective beta hovering around them. Yixing even saw the pregnant wolf tell the beta off for some reason. He also noticed the second holding hands with another wolf who had a big smile on his face. Another seemingly couple had a small male with big eyes who was almost constantly being glomped by a tanned skin male with brown hair. Yixing thought they looked cute together. Then there were the three wolves at the back who all walked in a row knocking each other randomly.

The alpha finally turned to the line after a short talk to their mum and first approached Minseok. He looked him over before slowly walking down the line and stopping in front of Yixing who looked up timidly. One look into the alphas eyes and Yixing swore he felt heat rush over him before it was replaced by shivering goosebumps. He hoped no one noticed his knees go weak. Yixing had met an alpha before but he'd never felt this way before. The blond alpha quickly walked back to Yixings mother. He was worried he'd made a bad impression and he was going to get into trouble.
