23. Leaving your mate.

Inevitably a month later camp was finished and it was time to move back to the forest. Yixing hadn't seen Yifan that whole time but knew that he would soon make the announcement to everyone about going back. To everyone's surprise Luhan had grown surprisingly fast even though he was only at 10 weeks. Yoongi had shifted in his sleep and remained asleep. The pup was turning out to be a lazy alpha, but always was glompped by Seokjin and Jimin for cuddles which he didn't reject.

Yixing knew Yifan was in the apartment. He'd been searching for the scent of the alpha for over a month and didn't want to leave for work knowing Yifan was still there. The omega sat nervously on the couch between Minseok and Kyungsoo. He would skip work just to see Yifan right now.

Soon Yifan and Minho came out to address everyone. "Guess what guys." Minho smiled. "Work on camp is done." He said. Pretty much everyone cheered, they could finally go home.

Yixing watched Yifan as he explained that they would be going back the next day and they should pack their things ready for the move. He told them what time they'd be leaving and how long it was going to take (a few hours) but not once did he look at Yixing. It was as if Yixing didn't exist.

Straight after that Yifan left the apartment.

For once Yixing was annoyed. Actually, annoyed didn't cut it. He was angry. He was mad at Yifan and at himself, he was also sad. Yixing stormed into the room he'd been staying in and threw himself on the bed and cried.

Yifan had given up on him. It broke Yixings heart that the wolf he loved had given up on him just because Show had come into the picture. And Yixing couldn't even tell him that he loved him anyway.

And Show hadn't given up. The alpha had become quite persistent as he knew that Yifan was avoiding Yixing, thanks to Baekhyuns big mouth.

The door to the room Yixing was in opened quietly and a wolf entered the room and closed the door just as quietly. Yixing didn't move as the wolf approached and sat on the bed. He knew who it was. A hand petted the omegas head. "If you want..." Ambers voice was quiet and soothing. "You can stay here longer, to think?" She suggested.

Yixing lifted his head from the bed. "You'd let me stay a bit longer?" He asked, eyes still wet.

"Of course I would. We're friends Yixing. That's what friends do." Amber smiled kindly. "Now close your eyes and relax, I'm going to sing you a song."

Yixing thinks Amber has the most beautiful singing voice he's ever heard.

Yixing and Baekhyun walked to work with Chanyeol. Since it would be Baekhyuns last day Chanyeol insisted to come with him. Yixing was jealous as he watched them walk hand in had happily chatting away about seemingly nothing.

The cafe was quiet when they arrived. The boss waiting for them at the counter, he smiled and greeted them cheerily. "I'm assuming it's your last day?" He said while looking at Baekhyuns happy expression.

"Yes it is." The omega smiled happily. "We're going home tomorrow."

"I'm not." Yixing put in quietly. All eyes where on him suddenly, Baekhyuns and Chanyeols happy faces gone. "Amber said I could stay for a bit longer." Yixing quickly supplied. "To think." He said. Baekhyun nodded sadly in understanding while Chanyeol made a scrunched face.

"So you will be working with us longer?" The boss asked Yixing, a smile still on his face.

"Just for a little longer. Then I'll decide." Yixing smiled politely.

"That's fine, just let me know when you finish." The boss smiled before going into the back and leaving Yixing and Baekhyun to get ready for work.
