8. Hiding things from your mate

When Yixing woke up he felt his body was starting to heat up and he could feel a dull urge start to form in his stomach. The omega knew full well what was happening and instantly sat up to reach for his bag down on the floor next to the bed; where he had his water bottle and the suppressants. Glad that no one was in the cabin to see him as he opened the bottle with shaking hands; Yixing took one of the pills and swallowed it with a gulp of water. Yixing then left the cabin before his sickly sweet, growing scent could fill the cabin for Yifan to find, the omega ran straight for the flower field to wait until the suppressants kicked in.

It was midday when Minseok came out of Kyungsoos cabin replaced by a worried Jongin carrying food Suho had made for the sick omega. Jongin couldn't relax when with the wolf he liked; with Yifan hovering around like he was he made the beta feel more than awkward. Minseok was instantly swarmed by the other omegas when he left the cabin, they wanted him around so they didn't have to worry about the guilty looking betas. Who looked almost pitiful sitting in a clearing next to camp; not sure what to do to fix their mistake this time. It didn't take long for them to try apologizing again. Tao came forward to Minseok asking if he could talk to the mad omegas. "Can we talk to them?" He had asked.

"I'll ask." Minseok replied with a shrug turning to the wolves behind him.

"Tell him that if they want to get to us they must beat you in a fight, you can show them how strong and important omegas are!" Luhan had answered stubbornly.

Minseok turned back Tao and opened his mouth to talk before turning back to the other omegas with a frown. "You want me to fight one of them?"

"If you want. We'd like to prove a point. And just play fighting of course." Suho asked nicely and Baekhyun was nodding profusely behind him.

"Ok then..." Minseok sighed turning back to Tao. "You heard 'em." He shrugged again.

Tao was still for a moment remembering the morning he woke up in the city with Minseok and Yixing attached to him and how Minseok's grip had been quite strong. When he returned to the other betas to ask their opinion they all told him to do his best with their thumbs up, causing Tao to sigh and turn back to Minseok who was standing now. "How would you like to do this?" Tao asked.

"Play fighting in wolf form?" Minseok shrugged. Tao nodded vaguely before he started stripping to shift. Minseoks eyes widened for a moment looking at the other three betas including Jongdae who where watching him. Jongdae raised an eyebrow when Minseok made eye contact. Tao shifted and was slightly slouching in his jet black wolf form. Minseok walked over to the other omegas who shielded him from the prying eyes of the betas as he stripped and shifted. The betas watched as around from the omegas came out a large wolf with many different shades of brown and caramel covering his coat. Minseok stood at full height and was nearly eye level to Tao, it was clear that if he where a beta he'd be one of the strongest. Minseok let out a growl and shifted on his paws; used to how play fighting works he didn't hesitate to get into character. Tao hesitated before growling back to get in the mood. Minseok started circling Tao letting out at growl every now and then. Tao started to join in the circling as they sized each other up. The other wolves watching them where excited to watch. No one but Yixing had seen Minseok fight, even if it was just play fighting. Jongdae had seen the day before how confident and fast Minseok was in wolf form. He kinda did want to play fight with Minseok; he thought it would be fun. However them fighting would prove nothing since Jongdae isn't involved. Maybe he could find another opportunity sometime.

Minseok was first to lunge. It was purely experimental to see how quickly Tao reacted. Tao jumped out of the way quickly the sound of Minseoks jaw snapping closed echoed trough the clearing. The others looked surprised at Minseok, who again lunged forward jaw locking onto Taos shoulder gently but with much force. Tao yelped a little in surprise before easily getting out of Minseoks lose grip and backing off.
