Getting "Crushed"

21. Special chapter: Yifan

Yifan will admit that when he first picked Yixing as his potential mate his intentions where not as they should've been.

Yifan was born with high expectations on his shoulders. As an alpha he had a choice, either to lead the pack he was born to, become a submissive alpha, or to start a new pack. At first Yifan wanted to be a submissive alpha. He got along well with his friend Chanyeol and had no problem where he was.

Yifan knew his pack hated the neighboring pack. So when they heard that the pack had been slaughtered by "rogues" he wasn't surprised. He joined the group of betas and the alpha in searching the wreckage "for survivors" his father had said sarcastically, and to claim territory. Yifan didn't expect to actually find a survivor in the wreckage of a large cabin.

Yifans first impression of Kyungsoo was that he was small but had the widest eyes he'd ever seen. He helped Kyungsoo get out from where he was trapped and brought the omega to his father. His father had scoffed and didn't believe there was a survivor, but a look from Yifan made him relent and agree to take the omega back to camp.

Chanyeol was just a bubble of sunshine when he met Kyungsoo, helping to calm the omega down and make him smile. The three of them got along well until Chanyeol started hanging out with other wolves and Kyungsoo was constantly discriminated against because he was from the neighboring pack.

That was what made Yifan make the decision to start his own pack. He wanted Kyungsoo to be happy and he hated the way his pack worked. They where nothing but rude; to each other and even their mates which were only chosen for benefit, not love. When Yifan had decided to leave he only knew one wolf other than himself and Kyungsoo that didn't share the packs ideals.

Chanyeol didn't hesitate to come with them, glad to get away, telling them the far away was where he'd find the perfect mate for him. The pack slowly grew and Yifan felt like he'd become a good alpha for his small pack. Chanyeol had fallen hopelessly in love with Baekhyun the moment he laid eyes on him but didn't know how to court the omega since he'd had no experience in love. Kyungsoo was happy in his kitchen cooking and cleaning to his hearts content happy to have Jongin by his side.

But Yifan felt something was missing.

"Maybe you should think about getting a mate?" Tao had said one day when he caught Yifan brooding while he was lying in a patch of grass.

"Jongdae dosen't want a mate and he's fine." Yifan defended making Tao just laugh.

"You know Jongdae is a special case." The second sat down next to Yifan.

"So why do I have to have a mate and not him?" Yifan questioned.

"Well, you're our alpha. You have the responsibility of supplying our pack with an heir I guess." Tao shrugged. "Jongdae is Jongdae. I've never seen him jealous ever." He poked Yifans side.

"You're saying I'm jealous?"

"I've seen it wether you admit it or not." Tao waved his hand dismissively. "Anyway since we're on this topic. There's a pack about a days walk from here that have a litter of six, can you believe, omegas that have all just reached of age." Tao smirked mischievously.
