Logan's POV

"Clear." A muffled voice rang.

It felt as if my lungs were pumped back with air, the air refreshing my needy state.

My fingers tingled with a strange sensation, cold droplets of sweat forming on my brow.

I began to panic, wondering where I was.

"Ha-Harry.." I whispered, my eyes wandering aimlessly throughout the bright room.

A woman in a blue nurses outfit began to inject needles into my body, the pain making me wince and whimper.

I couldn't remember exactly what had happened, faint recollections of shattered glass and the cold ground were the only things I could think of.

Then those green bright eyes...

I felt weak, brittle.

I wanted... No needed Harry with me.

I needed him to comfort me, to tell me that everything would be fine.

"Logan.. Ms. Garner." The nurse said, waving a small flashlight from eye to eye.

I kept quiet, watching the bright orb flicker from side to side.

I tried sitting up, a sharp pain running down my spine and into my belly, making me cry out.

"Honey. Please stay still, you'll hurt yourself even more." The nurse chided, settling me down and turning on the other monitors.

"Your friend will be up soon, he has a few injuries, nothing too big." She said, walking away.

"W-wait." I stammered, struggling to say that simple word.

She injected something into my system, the feeling of fatigue and light headedness taking over.

I felt myself being wheeled somewhere else, voices murmuring quietly.

"Surgery. Baby." Words I could barely make out from their conversation.

I continued to fight, listening into their conversation.

One last word ringing out clearly.

"Dead."

Harry's POV

The sound of the beeping monitor was what I awoke to. My eye lids still heavy with exhaustion.

I began to blink away at the hazy vision, surveying my surroundings.

I was in a hospital room.

A small bandage wrapped around my arm, and a few stitches just below my hair line.

My eye wandered to the small button on the bedside, the word "Assist." Printed onto the small button.

I continually tapped at it, the small buzzing noise becoming one long hum as my finger remained on it for too long.

A nurse rushed in, eyes wide with worry.

"Mr. Styles?" She inquired, looking me up and down.

"My friend, I need to see her. Please.. Please let me see her." I whispered loudly, trying to push myself off the bed.

I still couldn't feel my legs, my toes numb with medication.

"I'll wheel you in soon enough sweetheart. Ms. Garner," she whispered looking over her clipboard and nodding at the name, "she's still in the middle of surgery."

"Surgery? For what?"

"The fetus, although still premature to be called that. I'm afraid it hasn't made it." She sighed.

"No." I sobbed, shaking my head in denial.

Her lips formed a tight line as she watched me begin to sob.

"No-no-no..." I buried my face into my palms, crying harshly at the mistake I had caused.

It was my fault...

It was my fault the baby didn't make it.
