Chapter 16

Cameron and I both sat down at the table, and I was happy that it didn't have to be awkward. We ended up sitting next to each other, and Cameron's mom wiggled her eyebrows at me. I just rolled my eyes and laughed. We all prayed then started to dig into the meal. My mom had cooked fried chicken, that was Cameron's favorite as a kid. I looked over and he was literally drooling over his food.

"I'm guessing this is still one of your favorite food." I said while laughing at him.

"It's not one of my favorite, it is my favorite!" Cameron said excitedly.

We all laughed, and it felt good. It had been a long time since we all had a normal dinner, and it was actually enjoyable. I looked over at Cameron who was eating his chicken like he was a starved animal, my mom and Cameron's mom we chatting, and honestly it calmed me to see that. After today's events I was just happy to relax and have fun. I started to eat then I remembered something great! Magnificent to be exact. I dropped my chicken down on my plate, stood up, screamed then performed my happy dance.

"Are you okay?" Cameron, my mom, and his mom asked in unison.

"Descendantsisontonight!" I practically screamed, then I squealed then jumped around some more.

"Slow down child!" My mom said to me.

"Descendants. Is. On. Tonight." I said extremely slow for effect.

"You have to be kidding me, that reaction for a Disney Channel movie?" My mom asked me dumbfounded.

"Yes! I've been waiting for this for so long! Cameron you wouldn't mind watching that movie first would you?" I looked at him with puppy dog eyes, and he smiled at me.

"Sure it's your Disney night anyways."

I started jumping around, I was so excited for this movie! I read the book so many times, my mom probably forgot but my dad read it to me as a kid. This movie meant more to me than any other Disney movie in the world.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said to Cameron, and I gave him a huge hug.

I may have been acting like a five year old, but I think it was totally necessary to get my point across. Cameron just laughed, I could feel his body rumbling because of his laughter. When I looked up my mom and his mom were just looking at us with little smirks. I just stuck my tongue out at them, and then we all went back to our food.

When we finished dinner I ran over to the TV room and turned on Disney Channel. Descendants was coming on in five minuets so I decided to go make some popcorn. I told Cameron to just wait there, and that I'd go make it. I put the popcorn in the microwave, and started to sing Part of Your World. By the time I finished singing the popcorn was ready, and I heard some laughing in the background.

I whipped my head around to see Cameron laughing and smiling. I felt my face and cheeks heat up knowing that he heard me singing, and had probably been watching me the entire time. I tried to speak, but no words would come out.

"That was actually good." Cameron said to me.

"Thanks, but I don't like when people lie to me." I replied.

"Then you shouldn't have a problem with what I just told you." Cameron said back.

I smiled and handed him the bowl of popcorn, and we both got settled in for the movie.

By the end of the movie I had cried twice, and was squealing at the end so much. Cameron didn't complain, surprisingly, because I can get pretty annoying when watching movies. I felt the urge to start singing songs from the movie, but I knew Cameron needed a little break.

"Did you like it?" I asked Cameron, and smiled.

"Yeah it was cute! Honestly it was a lot better than I expected, and the music wasn't too terrible." He replied, then shrugged his shoulders. "Did you like it?"

"Is that a serious question?" I asked back, he obviously knew the answer to that.

"Not really, I just wanted to be nice."

"Well since you liked it Cameron, you wouldn't mind if I busted into song then?" I asked a little shyly.

"Go for it Clary." He replied, so I did.

I sang like no one was listening, and I performed the whole thing out. Whenever I reenact Disney movie clips I go full out. When I got to the last if only I remembered that Cameron was in the room watching me sing my little heart out. I also noticed he had his phone out and was recording me.

"Oh my gosh you did not just record that!" I said to him.

"I did," he smiled evilly then continued, "and YouTube is going to love you."

"No, please don't do that! I don't deserve that kind of cruel punishment!" I said a little panicky, but I was laughing at the same time.

"Too late, sorry!"

"Well at least let me see it!"

"Fine."

I watched it and it wasn't too bad, just the fact that people could just watch it whenever made me feel a little weird though. The title was If Only - Cover by Clarissa. There was already 10 views, but then Cameron took back his phone so I couldn't keep count of views. I was about to sing some more, but Cameron cut me off.

"How about another movie?" He asked while laughing.

"Okay!" I replied back excited for the next one. "Thanks for doing this."

"No problem its super fun, maybe we can do it again sometime." He smiled at me then turned on The Little Mermaid.
