"Rose," the Doctor called from the hallway. He was so excited to take her out on a real date. Rose always talked about going on one, and now he could finally take her out and give her what she wanted. She was in her bedroom, exhausted. Most of the lights were out already, thanks to the TARDIS looking out for her, but a small lamp next to her bed remained lit. She was worn out and she wanted some sleep before even thinking of going undercover at a school in a couple days like Mickey asked of them. "Rose!"

Rose just groaned in reply, hugging her pillow tighter. The Doctor opened her door and realized she was still asleep. He was already dressed in a black suit with a black tie. He didn't even wear his beloved Converse this time. He had gone all out, right down to the leather dress shoes. Quietly, he walked to her bed, not bothering to turn on the main light. He lied down in bed beside her and smirked as he watched her peaceful face. The Doctor propped his head up.

"Rose," he whispered. She didn't open her eyes, but she was definitely awake now,

"Hm?" she responded. The Doctor smiled and eased her into consciousness with a kiss. When he pulled away, Rose opened her eyes and smiled.

"Well, good morning, Sleeping Beauty," he said, propping up his head again. Rose let her head hit the pillow and buried her face.

"Mm foh trrrd," she said into the pillow which was muffling her voice. The Doctor chucked a bit.

"What was that?" he asked. Rose rolled over.

"I said I'm so tired," she repeated. The Doctor sat up and grabbed her hand, pulling her to the edge of the bed.

"Come on! Sleep when you're dead. We have things to do," he said. Rose groaned again.

"Now? Like what?" she asked as she rubbed her eyes with her free hand. The Doctor tuned and knelt down. Rose was upside down to him, looking up. He kissed her forehead.

"It's a surprise. Dress nice. Come on, let's go," he said, just before rushing out of the room. Rose laughed to herself as she sat up.

Later on, in the TARDIS console room, the Doctor was waiting for her. He was checking the monitor repeatedly and checking his watch even more. Soon, he heard Rose coming. He reached over and turned off the monitor so she couldn't see. He turned around to see Rose wearing her best: a skin-tight long sleeve white dress that came down to her mid-thigh, paired with a black clutch and black high heels. Rose had done her makeup nicely as well. She had put on red lipstick and black mascara and even pulled off the perfect smoky eye. She had even gone so far to give her hair a gentle curl at the bottom. The Doctor was mesmerized for a moment, unable to react to anything while he looked at her.

"What? Do I look okay?"

"You look beautiful," he said, smiling at her. She smirked, remembering the first time he said that.

"What? 'For a human?'" she teased. He smiled back. "It's not too much though?"

"No, not at all," he said, meeting her with his arm held out. She smiled and hooked her hand behind his elbow. Even in her heels that made her feel ten feet tall, the Doctor was still considerably taller than she. The Doctor checked it watch for the time once more before leading Rose out the door.

The TARDIS was parked by a nice restaurant called The Sheem. There was a long wait at the door, leading from the door and wrapping all the way around the building. The Doctor and Rose walked right past like a couple of A-listers. The bouncer guarding the door glared at the Doctor who then promptly showed the psychic paper. The bouncer looked surprised and stepped out of the way, letting them pass.
