"Don't you miss real snow, Rose?" the Doctor asked. Rose chuckled. The temperature inside the TARDIS had dropped significantly over the past couple of hours, so she was sipping a hot cup of coffee.

"I don't know. You make it any colder in here, we just might find ourselves knee-deep in snow," she said. The Doctor looked back and raised is eyebrows in interest. He wouldn't mind an indoor snow day. In fact, he wasn't sure it was impossible. Perhaps somewhere in the TARDIS he had some contraption that could make it happen.

Rose was lounging on the seat by the console as the Doctor punched some coordinates into the navigator. Rose was still in her pajamas and slippers. She smiled softly as the Doctor focused on his machine. He was wearing his plain-framed glasses and had slipped on his trench coat as well. Rose hadn't noticed, but there was a pair of grey gloves and a beanie sticking out of his pocket. He had quite the day planned for Rose Tyler.

They had just left New Earth and Rose had been thinking of home and how she had wished there were real snow. Of course, the Doctor noticed and since he was especially happy to have Rose back to normal, he wanted to plan something special for the both of them. He had been planning it for about ten hours while Rose was catching a few winks. She was human, after all, so the day at the hospital with two sets of consciences stuffed in her head exhausted her.

The Doctor pulled the lever to take off without giving Rose a proper warning and the TARDIS began its usual wheezing and tumbling as it bounced through the time vortex. As the shaking became more violent, Rose actually got a bit nervous. She dropped her mug, shattering it, and lunged forward to grasp hold of the console for a bit of security. Rose looked at the Doctor who was grinning from ear to ear.

"Doctor, why's it bouncing around like that?" she asked. He looked at her and yelled back the answer.

"We're going through new space! Not a lot of people travelling through the time vortex come here, so the lack of traffic leaves the lack of a path. We're carving our own way," the Doctor said. He held out a hand for Rose to hold on to and she smiled.

With a shudder, the TARDIS came to a crashing stop, sending the room spinning. The Doctor lost his grip and started to fly across the room, but Rose managed to keep hold of his hand and the console. When everything came to a rest, they were left hanging from the console. The Doctor let go and dropped to his feet. He winded up standing on the wall. After glancing around for a moment, he called for Rose to drop down. She did, and he caught her. Once she was on her feet, she assessed the damage as well.

"Doctor, I thought the TARDIS had its own gravity field. Why are we standing on the wall?"

"It does. Something must have gone wrong with the auto-gravity system. Come on then," the Doctor said, putting the problem behind him to worry about later on. He walked over to a sled that fell out of whatever hiding place he had it tucked away in. "Dress warm. We're having a snow day."

The Doctor climbed out of the TARDIS and looked around. For miles, all he could see were gently slopes completely covered in snow. There were a few evergreens scattered across the landscape. Minus the few kids that were making snow angels and building snowmen in the distance, they had the area to themselves. The sun was sinking past the horizon that made the sky a glowing pinkish color. The sun was warm, but there was no melting this snow. Upon jumping down from the TARDIS, the Doctor came to find that it was at least six inches deep. He felt the cold even through the layers he had put on. The Doctor was suddenly glad he decided to wear boots instead of his usual sand shoes.
