Chapter 27- Ending: Ichika

*Ichika's POV*

I ran as fast as I could into an creepy warehouse. As I ran inside, I heard a gunshot followed by a loud scream.

"That's... Calista!" I said to myself and ran towards her scream.

*Calista's POV*

The bullet glided along my skin, causing it to slice open. I screamed in pain and I was quite surprised as well.

I fell to the floor grasping my cut. Willem approached me, putting away his gun and I glared coldly at him. Unable to run away I sat on the ground and he crouched I front of me.

He slid his fingers down my hair and lowered my back to the floor. His hand cupped my cheek and he slid his hand up my unharmed leg.

I can do anything! How pathetic! I didn't want this to happen! I clenched my eyes shut and called out for the one I loved, in my head.

Ichika! Please... Help me!

Not a moment later, I heard a bang at the door and then a few more times. I opened my eyes.

Willem and I both looked towards the door. There was a pause and then the door broke off from Ichika body slamming it.

"Ow ow ow... Hey! What do you think your doing to Calista!?" Ichika yelled furiously. Willem chuckled and moved away from me.

Willem looked down at him and said "I was just borrowing your sister."
"Sister!? But we aren't- and wait a minute! Borrowing!? Like hell you were!"

Ichika got even more worked up. He grabbed his nightstick and made a run at him.

Willem swiftly dodged his attack and pointed the gun at his back. Ichika turned around surprised and clenched his nightstick even harder than before.

Willem pulled the trigger and in a flash he was gone. Ichika had just barely gotten out of the way. He glared and looked around the room.

He met my gaze and rushed over towards me. "Are you hurt!?"
"It's just a scratch."
"Then, can you walk?"
"I think so."
"Good. Then let's go."

Ichika said and forcefully pulled me up and quickly pulled me out of the wearhouse. He walked fastly and never looked back at me. I let him drag me away in silence.

He passed Iseya so I thought he was going to Kyokatei, but we soon passed that too.

Where on earth is he taking me?

I wondered to myself and soon we ended up by a river with a big long bridge. He turned around and faced me. He was beet red.

"Ichi- mph!?" I tried to ask him what was wrong but he sealed my lips with his. Confused, I clenched my eyes shut and tried to push him away.

But he held me too strongly and I soon had given into his kiss. My grip loosened and after some time he pulled away.

I covered my red face and asked in a small voice "why did you... Just kiss me...?" Ichika scratched his head irritatedly. "Aw man! That man really ticked me off!"

Is he even listening to me!? Why did he just change the subject like that!?

"Ichika! Answer me!" I demanded and his face turned even redder. "Alright, I love you Calista! I don't want any other man to touch you like he did!" Ichika said and I was taken aback by it.

He... Loves Me!?

It felt like my heart was flaming as his words echoed through my mind.

I looked up at him determined and said "I love you too, Ichika!"

As I said that, he looked confused but surprised. "Wait... You do!?"
"Why is that such a surprise?"
"I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams, that you loved me too."
"Well... I do love you... So..."

He grabbed my hand and pulled me into an embrace. I smiled faintly behind his back as we held each other.

Once again, we came into a long, passionate kiss. It's a funny thought...

All the fairytale stories I've ever read had an happy ending. But...

Why is my happy ending different?

Maybe because true love stories

Never actually have endings.
