Jason's pov

She's still asleep when I get up and grab a beer from the mini fridge in our hotel room. I'm about to open it when a memory hits me hard and I drop the beer.

~flashback~

I remember how mad I was that my best friend wasn't at my wedding. I was so mad. After me and Jess got married, I went to her house to find out why my best friend wasn't there. Her mom said she was sick. I felt bad for being mad so I went in there. Her eyes go wide. "Jason! What are you doing here?! Shouldn't you be with Jessica?!" She cries, coughing. "I know. I was just worried when ya didn't show today." I say. Worried is not what I was. I was furious. But finding out she was sick totally pushed the anger away. She has tears in her eyes. "What's wrong?" I ask. "I feel bad for missing it." She says. I smile. "It's okay. We've got pictures and video."

~flashback over~

I really believed she was sick too. I feel so dumb. All the things I should've been able to see. I should've known. I was too blind and stupid to see. I grab the beer back and throw it at the wall, shattering it. She appears in the doorway in seconds. Whoops. "What on earth was that!?" She cries. "I uh, I threw a beer bottle." I say. "Why?" She gasps. "I was mad but I ain't anymore." I say, walking over to her. Another high school memory hits me.

~flashback~

The first time I ever kissed her right before our first time together. We were completely and totally wasted and the memories of that night finally hit me. "Jason, what are you doing!? You have a girlfriend!?" She cries. I set my beer down. "She doesn't care about cheating on me!" I gripe. I can tell she doesn't want to give in to me. "Come on baby, if there's ever been a time that I need you, it's right now." I say, beggingly. She bites her lip. "Okay." She says. A few minutes later, we're both breathing hard in my bed, her head resting on my chest as I stare at the ceiling trying to blink away the spots flashing in my eyes. "Jason," she chokes out, wincing in pain. I was her first. I took her virginity. "Yeah?" I ask. "You can come to me for anything, always remember that. If you don't remember anything from this night, remember that." She says.

~flashback over~

And that was the only thing I remembered from that night until now. It all came rushing back to me just now. She stares at me confused. "What's wrong Jason?" She asks. "I uh." I try to find my voice. "I think we need to talk about somethin'." I say, gulping. I take her hand and we walk to the bed. "What's wrong?" She asks again. "I just had a memory hit me. It was the night of our one time." I say, carefully. "Okay." She says, still confused. "Do you remember that night at all?" I ask. "Not much." She says, staring at the bed. "Well this is something I didn't remember or know until just now. I was your first." She looks away again and nods. "It just makes me feel bad." I mutter. "Why?" She gasps. "Because your first time is supposed to be something you remember til the day you die, the best experience of your life. And because of me it was just some one drunk one night stand!" I say. She grabs my hands. "Jason, it was the best experience of my life because I might not remember much but I learned something that night. I learned what love was and that I had it with the greatest guy I'll ever know. It might've taken me several years to get the courage to tell you but still." She says. "So you don't regret it?" I ask. "I regret a lot of things. Like not telling you sooner. But our one night all those years ago, I'd kill to go back to it and relive it again because it was the best night of my life." She whispers, kissing me.
