Miranda's pov

That last nightmare really freaked me out. I know Jason would never do that but it still has me on edge. I was holding Anna and singing to her. The babies are ten months old now. My worried mind flashes back to the day it all started. The day he got shot at the ATM. "Hey baby come see this!" Jason shouts from downstairs. I walk downstairs. "What's up?" Oh my gosh! Nathan is trying to walk! He lifted himself up with the table! I still hold Anna but I get to my knees. Jason gets the video camera. "Come on buddy you can do it." He says. Nathan looks at us both then carefully lets go of the table and takes a step toward Jason. He makes it three steps before falling. I didn't realize but I had tears in my eyes. Jason picks Nathan up and sits beside me. Anna was playing with my hair. "Man, that was so cool." He says. I smile and lay my head exhaustedly on his shoulder. "Oh he's growin' up too fast." I say, wiping my eyes. "You alright, hun?" "Yeah." He takes Anna and puts them both in the playpen. Then he helps me up. "You sure you're okay?" I nod, wiping the tears from my eyes. He hugs me. "How are those nightmares? Anything lately?" "Not for a couple days." I mumble, resting my head on his chest and closing my eyes.

Jason's pov

She's exhausted. She's falling asleep right now! I pick her up bridal style, her head against my chest. "No.... I'm not..... Tired." She mumbles. "Yes you are baby." I say, kissing her head. I carry her upstairs to bed and when I walk back down the girls have gotten home. "Hey girls, how was school?" "Good. I've got a field trip coming up next week, can you sign this?" Keely says sitting beside me. I nod and sign the permission slip. Kendyl lays in the chair, falling asleep. Looks like Miranda's not the only tired one.

*the next evening*

Luke babysits the twins and me, Miranda, and the girls go out for dinner. I'm glad she has stopped having these bad nightmares. I lace my fingers with hers and she smiles. Kendyl is drawing with the crayons and placemat the waitress gave her. Keely is looking through the menu and I'm staring gladly at my loving wife/best friend that I'm so lucky to have in my life. She looks up from the menu and catches me staring. "What's up?" She asks, smiling. "Nothin'. Just.... So glad you're my girl. I love you baby." She hugs me. "I love you too, Jay. I'm so happy the way life turned out for me. For us." I remember well the day I realized I was in love with the RIGHT person.

~flashback~

It was right after my divorce with Jessica. We were hanging out, me in ripped jeans and a George Jones T-shirt. Her in a light blue dress. I remember something about Dolly Parton.

~flashback over~

"I'll never love anyone more than you." I whisper.
