I wiped my long brown hair away from my face, how ever much I tried I could never get all my hair into a hairdo. The tears came down my face before I had the chance to stop it, I was so scared for my grandmas health. Her breathing had got a lot worse over the last couple of days and she hadn't talked for days and weeks and months. Mother had told me not to worry but I couldn't help it. Knock knock knock

I went down to open the door and saw the blonde, brown eyed, rosy cheeked girl I wanted to see. I had only about 2 seconds before I was borbarded with a hug. I returned the hug taking hair out of my mouth. "You ready to go to the academy yet?" Her American voice was so diffrent from my English one

"Yea, Ash, just have to do one thing wait here or in the car"

"Ok Jay" She turned and closed the door before going back to the little blue car. I turned and went upstairs to get my bags, I slung my smaller one round my arm and took the other to the top of the stairs. I turned to the closed door where I heard a faint snoring. I knock lightly on the door before walking through to place a note on her bedside table before placing a kiss on my grandmothers head before leaving and going back downstairs. To make my emotional leave not so emotional I tripped and fell forward hitting the right side of my face on the glass window of the door. I heard Ashley laughing through the car metal and door.

I punched her softly after sitting down and thought "Goodbye Georgia" It was sad to move again but I'd moved way further than Georgia to California. I'd moved from Stafford to a house on an Atlanta farm.

We were practically falling asleep by the time we got to the academy but when we were there it was worth the 3 days drive. We got out of the car and went to a reception area where we saw a man at a desk "And you two are?"

"Ashley Burke" Ashley said her voice echoing throughout the room

"Jessica Carino" I said as I took the key the man was holding out

"You're in room 617 in block 20"

"Thanks" I turned and walked out before realising Ashley was still in there so I turned and grabbed her arm to drag her out.

We were walking across the campus before I spotted two men around 20 walking together. The first was a blonde with green eyes and black clothes, he smiled at me and Ashley and hit the other to look at us. He did turn and he looked mad at his friend before turning to go through a door to the medical unit. He looked familiar but I didn't know where from.

We finally found our room and all Ashley could think about was food, drink and sleep "Hey I'm so tired do you want to nap then get coffee from town? I remember seeing a coffee place"

"Yea sure" I said dumping my bags at the end of the bed I had picked before going to the window to see the man I recognised go back through the door with the blonde I saw before with him. I could have swore he was looking at our block.

After we had napped we got ready to walk to the coffee place before walking out the door. We walked for about 2 minutes before entering the coffee place "Latte talk about" I laughed to myself at the name. It was so warm and cosy. The smell of coffee and chocolate was amazing. "Hey Jay go and find a place to sit and sit there I'll follow"

"You got it Ash" I went to walk around for a bit before finding a cosy little sofa and table in the corner "There" I pointed and she nodded. A waitress came to our table when we had sat down for a few minutes "Welcome to Latte talk about, what can I get you?" You could see the pink bubblegum and she spoke

"I'll get an americano Jay what are you having?"

"I'll have a hot chocolate please with cream, sprinkles, marshmellows and a fudge stick thanks" she walked away still chewing her pink bubblegum. A few minutes had passed before I looked to the counter where they made the drinks and saw someone bring out a little flask and pour it into a hot chocolate before bubblegum girl came and gave it to me "Thanks" she also handed the americano to Ashley "Thanks" she had already started to drink it. I drunk mine stopping to see the man at medical staring at me and the drink before looking away quickly when he saw me looking.

We finished and got back to the room where I found my timetable and stared to read it. "You know Jay, that wasn't a coffee. We went to a coffee place to get coffee and what do you get? A hot flipping chocolate"

I had stood up to look at the door handle something facinated me about the crystal inside. I was walking to the door before I tripped over absolutly nothing and hit my head hard on the floor at the end of Ashley's bed. My head had started to ache and my throat burned. I sat up coughing and splurting blood and foam. "You ok Jessica". I raised my head to look at Ashley, I was shaking so much I looked like I was sitting on something wildely vibrating. I said my request short and quickly "Take me to Medical".

Without questioning me she hurriedly got off the bed, stood me up and placed my arm around her neck. She opened the door right open and shut it straight after. We half ran, half limped to Medical because my legs had stopped working altogether. She opened the double doors into a room with lots of leather beds you find in hospitals and doctors offices, and shouted for help "PLEASE SOMEBODY MY FRIEND NEEDS HELP!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming" I deep southern voice ran through the building before a man with a blue jumper came in to see us. From what I could hear he ran over to see me still coughing up blood "Ok put her over there by a bed" He ran to get a scanner then came back "Ok miss, I'm going to pick you up by the waist and put you on the bed that ok". I nodded slowly, I couldn't even see the guy now putting his hands on my waist and lifting me up. I felt myself being lightly pushed down so I was lying on the bed.

Someone came over and whispered in my ear "I'm going to leave you alone hear". A woman's voice...Ashley. How could she leave me like this;

1) My head bleeding from the impact on the floor

2) My throat burning

3) Not being able to see the person so gentle to me

4) I could feel myself burning and freezing all over and feeling myself sweat

"I'm going to give you a sedative, it'll knock you out. I promise you will be ok" I felt a needle go into my neck and go to sleep.

When I woke up I kept my eyes shut to see what was going on around me. There was something cold and wet being dabbed on my head, I could feel my legs and started to wiggle my legs before a gentle voice came into my head "I know you're awake I can see your legs moving" He was smiling as he said that I could tell but still...HE WAS LOOKING AT MY LEGS "You can open your eyes now if you want you should be able to see me"

I did as he said and sat up surprisingly well "Are you ok miss?"

I said a simple "Yea thanks" before turning to his voice and realising I recgognised him "Are you trying to follow me?"

"Why would you say that?" he was shocked at my question considering I'd only just woke up

"You were with the blonde guy at campus grounds before walking away like you recognised me, then I could have swore you were looking at our window and then I see you in the coffee place eying me and my drink"

"I promise you I'm not following you just figuring out who you are"

"I'm Jessica Carino if you must know"

"McCoy, Leonard McCoy but the blonde guy just calls me Bones" He helped me off the bed and walked me to my room to see Ashley "Thanks Bones"

"I'll tell you what happened to you if I see you again which I know I will"
