The dress shop was...well...full of dresses. I was drawn to one at the back. A little black dress with gold sequins in a striped pattern. "What do you think of this?"
"Looks ok. Do you know what fits her?"
"Yea a little bigger than me"
"Stand next to the manequin" I did as he said confused "You're skinnier than the manequin"
"Bones we're here to get presents for Ashley not look at my waist" I bought the dress and went outside smiling. I noticed I was figeting. "Why am I making such a big thing about him looking at my waist?" I thought "People who work in shops do this all the time, and I never make a big thing about that"
"Okay. Dress shop = check. Next stop = Book store. Where's that?"
"Third floor I think"
"Okay we'll get the lift" We hopped in and went up. We walked to the balcony to find it before I pointed to the corner "Over there". There are many smells most people will think are weird like: petrol, fresh paint, mown grass and fish and chips. To me the smell of a bookstore is one of those smells but I think it's great. I walked over to the plays department "Ashley loves Shakespeare" I can't remember what her exact favorite was but it was fine there was plenty to choose from. I picked up about 6 books:
Romeo and Juliet
Hamlet
Much ado about nothing
As you like it
Macbeth and
Midsummer nights dream. We bought them and walked out. When we came out Bones spotted someone and pulled me to the side "What was that for?" He actioned me to be quiet so he could explain later. A man as tall as Bones stopped and turned to where we were "Hi Bones who's your girlfriend?"
"Someone who isn't my girlfriend Jim"
"I'm James Kirk and you are?"
"Jessica Carino. Nice meeting you James but I have to get presents for my friend" I walked to the sweet store feeling guilty for walking without Bones. He soon caught up though "Sorry for leaving you. I feel guilty"
"It's ok. Are any of these for Christmas?"
"Christmas presents? Oh it's almost Christmas isn't it? I'd completely forgot about Christmas" We had about 5 bags full of sweets when we'd finished.
"Hey Jessica I need to get some presents for people can I get them?"
"Why would you ask of course you can"
"I'll meet you next to the lift on this floor in about 5 minutes"
"Sure" We walked our seperate ways and I went to get presents:
A Nibiran translator for Lucy
A bunch of flowers for my mother
A topaz necklace for my grandmother and
A shiny new PADD for Bones. I had finished so I decided to go to the lift where seconds later Bones appeared "Ready Jessica" I nodded and walked out with him.
When we got to the academy something caught my eye. I looked towards it and found it wasn't something but someone. A tall guy in a black jumper with black hair. Liam Pike. He raised him arm and pretended to slit his throat then pointed at Bones. I shivered and Bones looked at me confused "Cold?"
"No just...doesn't matter"
"Ok go and put your things back and I'll meet you in the Hologram room" I nodded and did as he said. I sat on my bed contemplating whether to tell him going through diffrent situations in my head. If I do tell him would Liam hurt him. I wouldn't put it past him to do so...but then what would he do to me. Ugh Jessica stop you'll work yourself up. I finally decided to go but tell that I can't say. I put on a black dress and walked to the main building. The Hologram room was in a space theme. Each star had an orange dust around them and several other stars. It was beautiful and I went to stand in the shadows to get a better view. I heard the door open a few minutes later and quickly turned to see a figure in the doorway "Jessica it's Bones" I stepped out of the shadows and sat down on the bench provided. Bones came and sat next me "Tell me what's going on?"
"I'm sorry I can't. I saw them before and they said they would hurt you. I don't want you to get hurt for me. I'm sorry"
"If it keeps you from getting injured...I'll just have to get hurt" He looked nervous to say that
"Really?" He nodded "Ok then...I'm being threatened by a guy in my medical class called Liam Pike. He pushed his arm into my neck and whacked my head against the wall when I met him. Then well you know what he did today" I pointed to my stained head and leaned back into the bench "He then made a cut-throat action and pointed to you. I don't want to see others hurt for me"
I hadn't noticed that the door was open still so two people came behind us "What about being hurt for you?" I jumped up and almost fell but Bones caught me. He was good at that I thought. He pulled me up to see a girl just younger than me and a girl years younger. "ASHLEY!" I ran round to be engulfed in a hug. We broke away and I turned to the younger girl. A red haired with rosy cheeks and pink lips..."LUCY! What the...Why...How...Mum"
"Mum said I could come Jess and Ash brought me here. Who is this?" She looked at Bones
"This is Bones my friend from the Med Bay. And if Ash has told you anything...the guy who helped me on my first day" He greeted them then said he had to go to see if Jim was back from the shopping center. As soon as he had gone Lucy had turned to me and started to be a female James "So do you like him or what?"
"WHAT!?"
"Oh come on you can tell you like him because
1) You smiled when he caught you
2) You're fidgeting and
3) Ash told me you loved him" I stared at Ash then realised what time it was
"Come on you two we have to go to bed" I turned to Lucy "Be thankful there is another bed"
