I woke up blinded by the sun that was shining into the room. When my vision adjusted fully I saw I was lying in a San Francisco hospital bed, surrounded by white walls, huge windows and a smily little girl with red hair, rosy cheeks and pink lips.
"Jay you're awake good" She wrapped her arms around me while she sat on my bed "How are you?"
"Great thanks you?"
"I'm good Ash is better she's got herself a guy" My eyes widened and I sat up "Yea Pavel the Russian one who sits next to Sulu"
"Aww sweet" I was really thirsty "Can you pass me a water bottle please?" I remembered my wrist accident and looked down to see a beige wrist brace with a metal stick in it. I looked up to see water coming towards me, no bottle just water. "Argh Lucy that's freezing!"
"I know it was in the mini fridge. It's what a fridge is supposed to do" She handed me another and I squirted water back at her soaking her red hair. I got out of bed and ran away from Lucy round the room. I just climbed onto the bed when I tripped and fell off onto my wrist "Argh"
"Oh sorry Jay you'd better find a Doctor for that...talking of Doctors, Doctor McCoy cough Bones cough said he wanted to see you later. He wants to give you something probably a kiss"
"Hahaha so funny aren't you Lu?" She nodded smiling behind her soaking wet hair "I'll go find him then" I was about to walk out the door but Lucy took hold of my other wrist and sat me on the bed
"You are not going to see him looking like that. No way!" She spent 10 minutes drying my hair and putting me in a nice blue dress and makeup "One more thing" She walked over to the fridge and pulled out a strawberry "Bite" I did as she said before she started spreading it on my lips like lipstick
"What are you doing?"
"If you are going to kiss him might as well make it a memorable taste" I sighed at her before walking out to where he would be. My heart beat faster with every step I took. What did I look like? What he say when he saw me? Was Lucy right would he kiss me? What does he taste like?
I reached the door and saw he was doing paperwork. I pressed the buzzer to get his attention "Yea who is it?" He was tired and didn't look up
"Maybe if you look up and saw the woman waiting for you, you might be able to find out" He shot up and looked towards the door. His face lit up when he saw me I swear I could faint at his perfect smile. He walked over to the door and opened it. It was about 2 seconds after he looked me up and down before his arms were wrapped around me, I returned the hug smelling his usual mint fragrance.
"Hi"
"Hi"
"Erm...come in"
"Thanks"
"You look...beautiful"
"You have my sister to thank for that" I smiled as I passed a mirror and saw she did a really good job
"Lucy...what injury do you have for me today or aren't you going to tell me?"
"Ha ha but it is my wrist I fell onto it" He was so confused "Water fight" His face was hilarious "Immature little sister decided to drench me when I needed a drink" Not a clue what I was on about "Can you please look at my wrist?"
"Sure though I have no idea how this happened sit on the table"
"I can't" I looked down at my feet when I saw I was too small to get on it
"Why not?"
"It's too tall" He smiled before walking over
"Bring back a memory...I'm going to pick you up is that ok?" I nodded before his strong, warm hands lifted me up by my waist. I was now at his eye level. He took my wrist in his hand and examined it "It's fine just a little painful" He met my eyes and smiled nervously and ran a hand through his hair
"Are you ok? What's wrong?"
"I'm fine just scared at my next move" I looked at him confused
"And what's that then?" I started to fidget with my wrist brace thinking of what he was talking about
"Jessica...I think that you are the...most...beautiful girl in the universe and...have liked you ever since you came in on your first day...and well I think you're perfect and it's basically a miracle everytime I get to hear your voice. I've even liked you since we were little, the angel in human little girl form who spoke to the nerdy farmboy" I just sat with wide eyes and a partly open mouth that was the best thing anyone had ever said to me.
"That's the best thing anyone has ever said to me and well...I think that you're the most perfect guy in the universe and...I was really scared at the thought of you dying with that torpedo...Ashley and Lucy did have to comfort me from crying. I can't think what would happen if you died before me. Ever since we were little...the really stong and smart farmboy talking to me. Wow just wow. I love you and everything about you even when you run your hand through your hair it does make me crazy for you"
"Oh just kiss already!" We turned to the door where 3 people were stood watching us. Sulu, Checkov and Lucy "And yes we are recording this for your wedding"
He met my gaze again "Should we?"
"I thought you'd never ask" I smiled as he placed his hand round my waist and another cupping my face. I took one last look at Lucy before closing my eyes waiting for the impact 2 seconds later.
It was the best feeling ever getting good sparks all over my body as his lips gently hit mine. His lips were warm and really minty moving with mine really smoothly. I moved my hand to his hair playing with it before the kiss broke. We both smiled at each other for a few seconds before he pointed out the job of the strawberry "You taste of strawberry"
"And you really taste of mint"
There was an aplause coming from the door as 2 others had joined. "Jim what are you doing here?"
"Just wishing Strawberry Mint the best of luck for the rest of your life together. Now what do you prefer Strawberry Mint, Jones, Jenard or Less"
"Ooh I like Strawberry Mint and Jones" Lucy, Sulu and Checkov agreed
"And you Spock?"
"Strawberry Mint does seem apropriate as they were their first descriptions of each other"
"Strawberry Mint it is then" Lucy gasped and started to back out of the room with a smile on her face
"I'm going to tell Ashley that you just had your first kiss and I videoed it. Bye!" I jumped off the table and started running to the door before Sulu and Checkov stopped me. Ok Jay you now have permission to kill Lucy when she comes back.
