Explosions and Lovers

I was in the room a week after that Christmas and Ashley had started to study here. She was studying navigation to be with her cousin, Hikaru a pilot, on the bridge on a Star Ship. Talking of Hikaru he arrived a few days ago before London.

We were all stood on the balcony when the TV in my room came on.
"Today's headlines a major London archive has been bombed. 42 men and women have been killed in this tragic event. Thomas Harefield has been the main suspect but he was killed in the explosion. Let's cross over live to Mark Greddon"
"42 men and women sheesh I'll go to see Checkov see if he's OK" Hikaru walked over to Ashley kissed her cheek then walked out. I lied down thinking about all the people in England before Lucy came and lay down next to me while Ashley sat next at the end of my bed.
"So how's your relationship with Bones going?" Ashley was smirking at me and I shot up

"I don't have one we're just friends"

"Oh yea then why were you holding his hand on Christmas and blushing like mad when he put your glasses on your face?"

"I wasn't! I'm going to sleep now, and I suggest you do the same" I lay back down again and fell silently to sleep.

I was woken by Lucy quite violently at atleast midnight or one in the morning. I put my glasses on to see that her cheeks were tear stained and she had bloodshot eyes. I sat up and she cuddled into me "What's wrong Lucy?" I wispered because Ashley was still asleep

"I'm scared"

"What about? What's happening?"

"Listen" I did and heard a lot of bangs and there were flashes on the wall. I got up and walked out to the balcony to see a Jumpship firing at the Starfleet HQ room, Lucy came and stood next to me holding my hand. I saw the ship turning towards the rest of the city, still firing. I pulled Lucy down before an ear splitting noise passed over just missing her head, but an explosion ran through mine.

I got up when I knew it had passed and pulled Lucy into the room before going to the bathroom to clean up my head. I went back into the bedroom to see Lucy snuggled so peacefully next to Ashley
so I decided to let them sleep.

There was a knock on the door whilst me, Ashley and Lucy were having breakfast and Ashley decided to get it. "Jay it's Bones"

"Thanks Ash...Hi Bones"

"Hi. I was just coming to say that Jim wants me on his ship and Sulu wants Ashley with him on the Bridge"

"Ok and your going to go and be the Cheif Medical Officer right?" It was sort of happening too fast. First the explosion in London, then the gunfire last night, now the U.S.S. Enterprise is going into battle.

"Right and also Jim might want to speak to you later" My eyes widened but he reassured me it was for good reasons. I went to get Ashley and Lucy followed to the outside gate.

"Well bye Lucy"

"Bye Ashley" They broke out of their hug then Ashley came and hugged me. When she retracted her green eyes were shining like the stars she was about to see. "Bye Jay"

"Bye Ash good luck and be safe"

"Mr Scott beam up Ashley I'll be up in a second" Bones was talking to someone on his communicator

"Aye Sir" Scottish he's from Britain like us. Little yellow sparks surrounded Ashley before she dissolved into particles and dissapeared. I turned back to Lucy and Bones before Lucy wrapped her arms around me. "Mr Scott to Doctor McCoy"
