Running out of time

"Bones what are you doing here?" He was stood on the pavement outside my house

"I told you I would be. Didn't you get my note?" I remembered the note Ashley gave me "You'll see me sooner than you think"
"You wanted to see me?"
"Yea" he smiled nervously before I decided to get out of there. I sat on my window sill and swiveled my legs round and stood up. I was walking towards the trelis before I slipped on a loose tile and went rolling down the roof expecting to fall but I didn't. I felt something underneath my legs and upper back. I opened my eyes to see two soft brown ones looking back at me smiling "It's like you're trying to injure yourself" Bones had caught me just in time Wow he's strong I thought to myself. He slowly removed his arm from under my legs and let me drop gradually to the floor. "Want to walk? And tell me what's wrong" I nodded and walked with him saying all my worries and fears about me, Ashley, Lucy and just anything on my mind, when I remembered something "I told my grandma about you"
"And did she like me?"
"Yea she did. She said that if I speak as highly as I do about you then I should claim you as mine" He looked at me confused and then smiled "She thought you fancied me?" I nodded and smiled back
"But now Lucy thinks it too" I sighed then saw we'd walked about a mile "We should probably be going back at least one of them would have checked on me and found I wasn't there"
"Ok sure thing"
"Do you want to run I need a rush and don't have any sugar?" He nodded
"Sure on 3...3" He started to run when I caught up. I was a good runner even in heels "You're in heels god dammit"
"Yep 2nd fastest runner in my school year" I overtook him before I felt two strong warm hands take my waist and spin me around in the air. When he put me down I turned and saw Bones smiling and walking the last few paces "Wow Bones you're competetive aren't you?" Still smiling he nodded

When we got back to my house I saw my window was closed. Lucy or Ashley must have come in and saw I wasn't there "Jessica you're window's closed how are you going to get in?"
"Like this" I smiled and held his shoulder whilst I took one of my heels off then threw it at the window. It got stuck with lots of tiny cracks around, I held his shoulder again and took my other off throwing it at the window. Smash! "See, like that" I smiled and walked over to the trelis.

Before I started climbing I ran back to Bones and pulled him to my level before kissing his cheek "Thanks for being here I feel a lot better". I ran back and started climbing until I got to the roof. The tile was still lose and I tripped on it and started rolling down the roof. This time i felt nothing for a long time then a hard surface and lots of pain in my head.

I must have blacked out because I woke up with no pain at all.
"Jay why are you on the pavement. In a blanket. Leaning on Doctor McCoy!"
I sat bolt upright before seeing Ash and Lucy bending over to see if I was awake. They jumped when I sat up. I looked behind me to see a man in a blue jumper asleep behind me. Why am I on the pavement with a sleeping Bones? I thought Have I fallen onto the concrete and Bones not close enough to catch me? Ugh I can't remember. But hey I'm with Bones.
Ashley took my arm and pulled me up. She then looked at Bones when I forgot I was wearing lipstick "Why is there a lipstick mark on his cheek? Jay what happened last night?" I just looked from her confused green eyes to the sleeping Bones's cheek with the pink mark before saying "I honestly don't know Ash". She looked from my empty lips to his cheek to Lucy then walked back to the house with her. When I was sure that the door had closed I walked over to Bones and lightly shook his arm and whispered his nickname until he woke slowly
"Bones are you OK?"
"Yea why am I on the pavement?"
"ERM I actually don't remember, you might want to wipe your cheek you have a bit of pink" I smiled and he wiped his hand on his cheek then looking at a pink mark on his hand
"Why is there a pink mark on my cheek?" He was so confused and I held my hand out for him to get up. He took it and looked at my lips which used to be bright pink "Didn't you have lipstick on... Oh" He realized and smiled
"I'll explain when we get back to the Academy" I looked towards the house "Which reminds me...did you drive here?"
"No 3 damh days on a train"
I laughed a little before grabbing his arm and running towards the house bringing him with me. I walked through to the kitchen where Lucy and Ashley were talking about something and let go of his arm "Ashley how did you get here?"
"Train"
"Ok how do you plan on getting back"
"I'm going to buy my ticket" she came over and dragged me to the living room before asking "Why is Doctor McCoy here?"
"Bones is here because we could all go back together on the train"
"Bones?" I nodded
"He told me to call him that"
"Really I think...I know you love him with all your heart. That's why there was a mark on his cheek you kissed him"
Just then the door opened and Lucy, Callum and Bones all walked in and stared at us both "Despite how hard you were trying to be quiet we could still hear you?" Lucy was smiling at me then at Bones who was looking at me bewildered and surprised "Also you really like him you didn't protest when I said you love him you just smiled and fell off the bed" I looked daggers at her she promised not to say anything. I looked at Ashley, Lucy then Bones before I walked out to leave the flowers on the kitchen table with an apology to my mum. I walked to my room to pack again before going back downstairs and tripping over absolutely nothing and falling forwards into the door with a giant smack! Everyone appeared at the door before Bones offered his hand to help me up. I took it before getting everyone to get their bags "We're going back to the Academy today" I turned to open the door but turned back again "Not actually today but well you know what I mean" I walked out to go to the station and was joined by 4 people with cases.
