"He has dementia remember? I know we haven't confirmed it but it's already public!" Travis shot.
"Well it's doesn't have to be your grandfather directly per say"
"His will" Mr. Benson simply said "Your grandfather's word is absolute and cannot be argued. No matter who he says should inherit the company son or not, must inherit it"
"So what do you reckon will happen to Jasper" it was the first time she had joined the conversation. Arianna settled into her seat.
"Julianna had framed him as our enemy, to take whatever blow we had planned. With the encounter with him the other night, she definitely knows that plan is compromised. Jasper didn't know anything that was going on. From his perspective Travis is getting treated and he is doing his best to keep his seat warm in all innocence. But with my reaction he must know something is up. Julianna would want him to choose sides soon. What happens to him would be based on his decision" Matilda looked conflicted.
"I can bring him. I'll bring him here I'm sure I can" Matilda cried.
"It'll be better if you let him decide. I know you just want to protect him but you've done enough it's time he protected himself. And bedsides we can't have more people knowing about this place, it puts our surprise trump card at risk" Arianna explained looking at Mr. Benson. Matilda didn't respond but Arianna knew she got the message.
"I should get back" she said getting up.
"Be careful. Julianna will definitely find it suspicious that you've been gone all day" Arianna warned
"It's alright. Julianna doesn't see me as a threat at all I don't have any information that will threaten her or any power to challenge her so be rest assured" With that, she was gone.
"Oh that's not true, you have plenty." Arianna said under her breath when the Matilda was gone.
"And many more to come" Mr. Benson completed.

Matilda got off the bus and walked the remaining mile to Julianna's mansion. She was surprised to see Julianna seated in the sitting room.
"And where have you been?" She asked not meeting Matilda's eyes.
"You know what today is so you can take a guess" Matilda replied walking up to her. When she stepped into the light she noticed Julianna wasn't alone. Opposite her was a boy with glasses, dark hair and eyes so familiar. It was Julianna's son, Harry, he looked exactly like her brother, almost like a reincarnation. And between them with a blank stare was Jasper. He didn't look up at his mother or acknowledge her presence.
"I just told Jasper everything and with the look of things he isn't taking it quite well. Looks like he needs some time before he is ready to make his decision" Matilda looked furious.
"Is this the time for this?! It's my brother's remembrance! I know you weren't married but he is the father of your son" Matilda pointed at Harry who seemed amused by all that was going on around him.
"You seem confused. The best way to honor the dead is not to cry over them but to show them how much we have grown so they can rest in peace, is it not?" Julianna asked smiling at her son in front of her who replied with a nod. "You are right mother. I'm sure dad will be very proud to know that his surname will soon be the new name of a multinational company." He turned to Matilda "it's your son name too right? You should stand proud then"
"Well it's all if you choose to fight on our side. So Jasper, have you made your choice?" All eyes fell on Jasper. The blank stare in his eyes was replaced by fury.
"Travis never accepted me as his brother no matter how much I tried. He always reminded me of my place. He never choose me not once, none of them had over and over. They both made their decision so it's time I made mine." Jasper rose his head and locked eyes with Julianna "my decision is obvious isn't it? After all I'm Jasper Gonzalez." Matilda looked at though she had seen a ghost.

Arianna duplicated Matilda's shock at the end of the call. Mr. Benson had planted a bug on Matilda just in case it was a trap. So they had been listening in on the whole conversation. Arianna was so sure Jasper would be on their side but thinking back on how Travis had treated him, it seemed obvious. And above all she had choose Travis over him again, after everything that had happened.
"I can't believe it, He betrayed me" Travis said hurt dripping in his tune " he told me he had forgiven me, that he understood and damn Julianna she left out the part of the lemonade. He thinks those emotions were truly how I felt" Arianna held his shoulder to stop him from doing anything harsh.
"This doesn't seem like Jasper at all. Before all these he was working with us to ensure Jasper took his place. He really loved Travis" Mr. Benson sympathized.
"Well you're dead, and honestly he would be an idiot not to take the deal. As for not being like him I don't know about you guys but I don't know a lot about him"Arianna realized
"Well I know him enough. We shouldn't jump to conclusions yet" Travis managed to say although he didn't seem to believe it himself. He was being naive and those kind of people end up betrayed and caught off guard.

Travis volunteered to drive Arianna home after they had confirmed there wasn't any more information to listen to for the night. They drove most of the way in silence each occupied in their own thoughts.
"You like Jasper a lot right." Travis suddenly spoke up. Arianna strained to read his expression but his eyes never left the road.
"I did, but I don't know anymore. Situations tend to play tricks on you" she replied.
"I see" Travis said and the ride continued in silence. Travis reached for his phone when the screen came on and without warning pulled up at the curb.
"What?" Arianna exclaimed her forehead seconds away from the window. Travis held his phone to her face. "Look! It's from Jasper" Ariana's heart leaped. Travis pulled the phone away before Arianna could read the contents of the message.
"Well, what does it say."
"He wants to meet up" Travis replied furrowing his brows as though trying to decode the message "right now!"
