The "wasn't a date" syndrome bagan to fade when the movie started. And although Arianna was the "bigger person" she couldn't relax. Every move she made bumped into Jasper making him more nervous and the movie uncomfortable. She wanted them to have a good time and laugh like they always did but she guessed it took three to mingle. Like any bad cliques the movie was romance. Every time the actor encountered his lover he always lifted her in the air and twirled her around and it gave Arianna unwanted Deja vu in her stomach.
" Strange how this movie doesn't have a happily ever after" Jasper commented pulling Arianna out of her mental dilemma.
" what?"
"She gets be-throned when he is forced to go to war"
" That's not a bad twist I must say. I had a feeling something or someone would come between their months formed love and bond"
" yeah..." Nobody needed to tell Jasper Arianna wasn't talking about the movie anymore "snap! It's almost mid night and we need to have an early start tomorrow. We should leave"
Arianna followed Jasper to the exit which was crowded.
" I guess we aren't the only ones with an early start tomorrow" Arianna complained
Jasper scanned the arena before grabbing Arianna's hand
" come on" they ran through the chair up to the front past the screen and through the entrance. Arianna's mind was filled with thoughts of how their hands fit perfectly that she couldn't hear the voices yelling at them to get the hell out of the way and couldn't feel the popcorns being thrown into her hair.  They finally made it out into the cold breeze of the night and when the reality of what just happened sunk in, they burst into laughter.
" That sure brings back memories of when Travis and I.." Jasper stopped as though he had named he who must not be named.
"Are you okay?" Arianna couldn't ignore the fact that Jasper hadn't been his usual self since the incident he always had that look of guilt all over his face like he was doing something terribly wrong.
"Yeah I'm good. Come on let's get you home"
The ride to Arianna's apartment was quiet and when he dropped her off he just smiled and drove off. Arianna was going to thank him for tonight but didn't get the opportunity to. She resolved to thanking him later in the office.

Arianna took the stairs two at the time eager to sink into her bed. It turns out imagining scenarios were tiring as well. When she got to her door she noticed something strange. The piece of paper she had used to jam her door was missing. Someone had been to her room or was in her room. She thought of her grandmother but she knew Arianna used the piece of paper so she would have put it before leaving and she wasn't home right now. Taking out the pepper spray in her bag, she pushed the door open and jumped back in case it was a sneak attack. Inside her room was a man in an expensive looking suit and satisfied expression. He sat crossed leg at her table and sipped from Arianna's favorite coffee mug.
"Finally, I've been waiting for quite some time. It's nice to finally meet you, miss Arianna" he said setting the mug down.
"Nice to meet you too important  looking man."
"Oh forgive me I'm not quite used to introducing myself since everybody seemed to know who I am. I thought you would know too considering the nature of your work" with that, Arianna's guard shot up " I am Mr. Cole Benson. Chief manager of BM motors. Julianna has told me so much about you. Why don't you have your seat, I have something to discuss with you"
A million questions were folding Arianna's mind. Who was this man? She had not been able to carry out a proper investigation of all the big shots thanks to her love triangle, what did he want? And since he addressed Julianna by her name it could mean they are good friends. What did he know?. Arianna knew thinking won't get her any answers to she pulled a chair and sat down.
"It is not my nature to barge into people's residence but I was feeling quite parched. So I helped myself to a cup of tea" the fact that he made himself tea in another person house didn't suggest it wasn't his nature at all.
"What do you want?" Arianna didn't see why they should talk over tea like old friends. She didn't trust this man who would use someone else's coffee mug like it meant nothing.
"Straight to the point eh? Julianna also mentioned that"  he crossed his hand and rested his chin on them. " I know about your investigation on the company and I want to offer a helping hand" this didn't faze Arianna at all.
"Did Julianna ask you to?"
"Not at all. She doesn't trust me one bit in fact I should be first on her list of suspects" this was true although Arianna hadn't throughly investigated anyone, she had her list of suspects thanks to the information Harry gave her and second on that list was an important looking man. Cole Benson. "You see the thing is I didn't want Julianna to inherit the company because she is a woman. But I tell you something I would let her only if it would be given to someone less competent." By incompetent Arianna knew he meant Travis.
"Tell me now, whose side are you on?"
"On the worthy side of course, there aren't just two sides. This isn't a duel my dear it's a battle clash and the strongest side will emerge victorious. When I said I was going to help you I didn't mean to get Travis to play king but to bring you to the winning side."
"What relationship do you have with Julianna?"
"As I mentioned we are enemies but that's not all I believe the better phrase should be enemies with benefit" He had said so much. So many answers and much more questions. "Oh look at the time! The sun should be rising soon I better get going. Take your time thinking about it I'm in no hurry after all you and I will be here for a long time" draining the last bit of tea in the coffee mug, he was gone leaving Arianna sleep deprived, confused, excited and with an empty tea jug.
